17” 5070 16GB RAM 1TB SSD Variant I’ve had it about a month, so not a ton of time for things to wrong. But so far so good. Running Diablo 4 on High with Ray Tracing at 165fps+ Runs BF6 on Ultra at around 80fps. The shell is mostly plastic with some metal framing around the keyboard, but still feels premium. Keyboard is high quality with nice tactile actuation. Temps are totally acceptable under load for a gaming laptop, even after long sessions. Comes with its own software for monitoring temps and adjusting fan speeds and RGB and such. Power supply plugs into the back which is actually super nice compared to the side. The display has a surprisingly good contrast ratio and looks very good for an IPS panel. A VERY surprising pro is that the RAM is upgradable, and there’s even an extra slot for a second M.2 storage drive. That’s a feature you won’t even find in some of the big brand names at this price point. The cons: Battery life is absolutely terrible. You’ll get maybe 3-4 hours just web browsing. Gaming? Maybe 30 minutes. But with that said, you really can’t game on laptops unplugged anyway. Dedicated GPUs just don’t play nice with battery power. All in all, I couldn’t be more satisfied with this thing. It runs exactly how you’d expect a PC with these specs to run. Phenomenal performance, phenomenal price, and all the features you’d expect out of a gaming laptop. Don’t let the Chinese brand name scare you off. I am just at a month in on this laptop, but everything is great so far. First thing out of the gate, I got rid of the PCIe 3.0 ADATA 1TB SSD and replaced it with a WD_Black SN8100 PCIe 5.0 4TB SSD (even though this laptop only supports PCIe 4.0 for the M.2 spaces) and added a WD_Black SN850X PCIe 4.0 4TB SSD in the 2nd M.2 location. With the dual fans and added thermal pads to both SSDs, they are running at 23c for C drive and 32c for D drive. The back inside of the case also has aluminum heatsinks permanently mounted over the SSD locations, but no thermal pads (I added 1.5mm pads purchased here on Amazon). While running benchmark tests, the drives got to 28c and 39c. I do have a custom fan setup running. I don't mind the fan noise and would rather have cool SSDs. I opted for the 1TB SSD so I could get the 32GB of RAM. 32GB of DDR5 4800Mhz RAM was good (not the best laptop RAM out there, but it works). Display is great and crisp (17.3" screen size is fantastic), no dead pixels. Good feel of the keyboard buttons. It has LED lighting for the keyboard as well as on the outer lid. you have a rainbow of color options to choose from. It has 2 USB A and 1 USB C 3.2 Gen 1 ports and 1 USB A 2.0 port. It has the RTX 5070 GPU (for a laptop) and benchmark testing shows 60.3%. I haven't tried any games yet, but the graphics seem to be good. The Intel Core i7-13620H CPU is a beast for what it is, even for a 13th Gen. processor. Benchmark testing has this at 107% The Wi-Fi 6 card is fast and it has an RJ-45 port if you go wired. It comes with Control Center software to view system info like CPU clock speed and temp, fan speeds, GPU clock speed and temp. You can control fan speeds, LED lighting, and charging options. The BIOS is a little wonky compared with other big name motherboard manufacturers. I guess the battery is small, but I hardly use my laptop without being plugged in, so it's a non-issue for me. The camera is ok at best. Image quality is not that great. The laptop itself is pretty sturdy. Some of the drivers are Clevo drivers. I didn't realize this before purchasing. I like Clevo laptops (my 2 before this one were Clevo). I average about 4-5 years between laptop purchases. I travel for work and my laptop travels with me. Clevo laptops have been very durable in my opinion. Overall, this is a great buy and I would recommend to anyone wanting a good laptop without the huge price tag. ... show more

My wife wanted a new laptop for playing games and web browsing and started doing my research. I'm a computer nerd, mainly desktop stuff and build my own machines. I found this computer and the specs were exactly what I would look for, for a decent gaming laptop. I've never heard of this company before, but said to myself, hell it's amazon, if it's garbage I can send it back and to them. The Item arrived and is well packaged. I was expecting it to be loaded with bloatware, but on first boot, went into windows and found nothing. It's a pure clean install of windows 11, with only 1 program extra loaded, and that is their program to control the RGB lighting and fan curve. I was extremely pleased with this. it's a fairly solid chassis, no complaints there. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that the fans are a bit loud playing graphics heavy games. My wife runs WOW on max, never hear the fans. Sims 4 on medium, barely hear fans. Jurassic world 3 on high, fans are really noticeable. The 1440 monitor is beautiful. like i said, only down side was the fan noise, if your using a headset, you probably won't notice the noise, might notice the heat in your lap if you don't have lap desk. I was pleasently suprised to be honest. I'm a software developer and had been working with smaller laptop and a secondary screen as I am alos old and running IDEs on a 14" screen can be problematic for older eyes. I also have a small set of older games that I play, but only on my home office desktop which limits when I can play. This laptop has solved both problems for me completely. Even with a 17.3" screen this laptop fit nicely in my "development to go" backpack and I can code wherever I am. The CPU/GPU also allow me to play my games on the road, or even just out of my office so my family knows I'm still around. The price point was spot on! ... show more

Blows my expectations away! So far, it's able to handle games like, Starfield on Ultimate setting as well as Witcher 3 on ultimate. Fans are normally loud on gaming laptop but I can say this was quieter than my 2020 Razr 15. I recomend getting a headset if the noise of a gaming laptop bothers you. The screen is great on it's own. From the two games I've downlaoded and started replaying, I have experienced no chopppiness or lag. Only thing I'm second guessing is that I should have opted for the 2tb instead of 1. I do also have it elevated, but it does not heat as much as my old laptop. I dont really care much for 4k gaming as I dont really play on a screen bigger than 32" the 5070 is more than enough for the games that I play. I hope this laptop lasts as long as my Razr blade 15 but I paid way less so I guess it wont hurt as much if it does fail lol. I had to go to it's website to check on drivers but everything was current. Let''s see how support goes but so far, 2 weeks in, great for the money! ... show more

I've had this laptop for about half of a year now. While the performance is great, the price is cheap, and I enjoy having a large screen, this screen is easily damaged. There are small permanent lines on my screen due to the design of the lower half of the laptop. There is a rough line between the touchpad and the keyboard that presses against the screen when it's closed, which damaged my screen. ... show more

Amazing piece of kit for the price! I am still giddy that I got a RTX 5070 laptop for $1500. My only complaints so far are the super low end and slow WD SSD that was an easy replacement and that the single USB-C port is only 5 Gbps and does not support Thunderbolt or charing. My only concern is the off brand main board I cannot find any information about, and a BIOS that doesn't offer me the options I am used to, but it is a PCIE5 and DDR5 system, and the rest of the hardware checks out. So far nothing but happy with the purchase and I'll update the review if that ever changes. ... show more
