These bars (unfortunately) had to replace my old, completely functioning bars when I bought a new car. Stinks cause I can’t sell the old ones now… But aside from that, installation was just as wonky as the first ones. The diagrams get you 98% there, the other 2% is fine tuning adjustments to get it set “right”. I see other comments about wind noise - but I have a cheap solution to that which I used on the old style bars as well: BUNGEE CORDS! I used to have a loud droning even at 25 mph - so I found a solution QUICK. Remember, if you need these rails and towers, your car was designed to not have anything on top of it. So by adding this, you’re adding wind resistance and therein, wind noise or “whistling”. Solution; go buy a cheap set of long bungee cords, wrap one around your bar 4-5 times, hook on the ends and space out the coils. Job done. Wind noise reduced to pretty much nothing. There’s literally nothing Thule can do about the noise on their end. Creating a braided bar of some sort will not work with whatever racks you’re trying to put on top. Updating to 4 starts because honestly I love Amazon. Even when they are the pricier choice, I head their way for reasons like this. The End caps were missing. With the holidays and everything, definitely happens and Amazon made it right, so I kept them. Original: I bought this used. Yes the box is obviously used but that is to be expected and it shouldn't be dinged for that. But the ends are missing all 4 so sending this back. ... show more
