  • Works great. To buy at a lower price, check the price frequently.
Style: Sidestick
I got MSFS in August 2020 and I had been using the keyboard for flying, but trying to control an aircraft with just a few controls on a keyboard can be very frustrating, indeed! Now that I have it, I really enjoy it, and it has really made a difference in my flying and landing performance. I really like it! This joystick has been for sale at highly inflated prices for months, sometimes even approaching twice the retail price. If you are interested in buying this, but you refuse to pay an exorbitant price, I suggest you keep checking Amazon's price every day. When I bought it, It was being sold by third party vendors through Amazon, but very few of those vendors had positive ratings, so I kept on waiting. My patience was finally rewarded when I found a vendor with 95% positive ratings, who was selling the product for under $100.00. I bought it right away. About a month after I bought it, I once saw it for sale by Amazon directly, and at the original retail price, too! So, my advice is, if you see a good price from a reliable vendor purchase it immediately, because that price won't last very long. I hope this helps. Happy flying. UPDATE: As of 2/20/21, Amazon is selling it for less than $70.00, but won't deliver until early April. If you're willing to wait, this is the best price ever. UPDATE#2: As of Oct. 2021, The joystick locks up after a minute or so into the flight. Then nothing works! It came with a one-year warranty, and I have submitted my information to the manufacturer for a replacement. It has been over three weeks, and I am still waiting to hear when the item will ship to me. i like the product, but their customer service needs to be improved. UPDATE#3: I received the replacement joystick in November 2021. Unfortunately, it totally quit functioning in less than a month. However, it is still under the original one-year warranty and Thrustmaster has agreed to send me a second replacement at no charge, for which I am grateful. I am waiting for that. UPDATE#4: It turns out that the second sidestick did not need to be replaced. The problem was a misunderstanding on my part. Initially, the second sidestick started exhibiting the same problems as the first one, but eventually, all of those problem went away. I have no idea why, but it is really working well now, so I am very happy about that. It a lot of fun to fly again, not having to worry about the sidestick malfunctioning. Also, I want to thank Thrustmaster for their support. While they weren't the fastest, they certainly knew what they were doing, and they were very helpful and patient with me. I am very pleased. UPDATE #5 1-21-23. After using this sidestick for over two years, I bought a new one. The reason: Over the last few months, I have noticed problems with the aircraft whenever I tried to take off. The plane would veer to the left on the runway, often so severely that sometimes I was unable to keep it on the runway at all. I would try to counteract this by steering heavily to the right. A week or so ago, I read that the problem could be resolved by disassembling the sidestick, but I decided that was too complicated for me to go, so I ordered another one, instead. All in all, this has been a great product, even ignoring the initial problems I had experienced. ... show more

  • Fantastic. Minor ignorable stick drift, awesome product tho.
Style: Officer Pack
FANTASTIC and great for a budget airbus build. Will give you callouses from habitual use, subjective if thats good or not. I liked mine. Mine has developed minor stick drift, but it's easy to set a deadzone in most applications. reccomend, when you get pedals, to bind twist into the tiller, instead of rudder. The extra slider on the sidestick gets underulitized when you have the throttle. ... show more

  • An Excellent Product
Style: Quadrant
I bought this a few months ago and it is very nice. The quality is good. The engine master switches were slightly bent out of the box, but it was nothing too severe. The engine mode selector is nice and firm. The throttle levers are very smooth and the detents are very clicky. It also feels very heavy (although that's probably because they added some weights, but still good regardless). The unboxing was nice and the quadrant was securely packaged. Setting up was as easy as plugging the thing in. I didn't even have to reconfigure MSFS 2020 at all to use it. The ability to turn off the detents is a very thoughtful feature for flying non-Airbus aircraft. The thrust reverser is very good as well. I also like that they use USB-C for the connection. I can see myself using Thrustmaster flight sim products for a long while. $130 well spent. ... show more

  • Great addition to the TCA quadrant - love the extra controls
Style: Quadrant Add On
These add-ons fit perfectly with the TCA throttle quadrant (separate item). The fit and finish is identical and they look pretty good when all assembled together. One thing that impressed me was that these fixed a very minor complaint that I had about the quadrant alone - that it was a tad too light. Connecting the add-ons makes the whole assembly heavier which is great because it makes it all feel more solid and I don't have the throttle quadrant lifting up off the desk slightly when pushing forward to TOGA. Assembly was super easy with the provided connecting tabs and screws. They also provide the connecting jumper SATA cables for the add-ons to plug into the throttle. Once assembled, you still only use the one USB connection from the throttle quadrant itself. The feel of the controls is very similar to the throttle quadrant. The Flap and Brake levers feel nice and solid. The knobs (auto brake, rudder trim, and park brake) have a similar resistance and weight to the ignition mode selector on the throttle quadrant (again, fits really well together). Only minor complaint is that I wish the switch used for the landing gear had a heavier weight and resistance to it. I realize this is a compromise of this home simulator control, but real planes have a larger, heavier lever for landing gear. Though, I suppose making it more "beefy" would have added to the cost. Overall I am very happy with these add-ons and love that they free up buttons on my joystick that I was previously using for many of these controls. ... show more

  • Exceeded Expectations
Style: Quadrant Add On
Scale and quality same as throttle, as you would expect. Looks impressive and hardware for flaps, gear, etc. adds a lot of functionality and enjoyment. Attaching it to the throttles was easy and it's read as one device, which makes setup simple and convenient. I purchased for use with Toliss Airbus in X-plane 12 and noticed only three minor issues: the parking brake isn't read correctly; the auto brake is not accurate in appearance; and the speed brake lever doesn't click up to arm spoilers. Pretty trivial given the rest of the package for the price and in no way something I consider a problem. Again, I was particularly impressed with how easy it was to set up. Good purchase! ... show more
