We did buy a used version as it was cheaper. The box was pretty mangled, but the everything worked as it should. The mounts on this steering wheel are better than ones we had on a previous logitech steering wheel. They really adhere well to different surfaces. We haven’t had any issues.

It provides dynamic force feedback that realistically simulates the resistance and sensations of driving a real car. Whether I'm skidding around a tight corner or feeling the impact of uneven terrain, the feedback is incredibly immersive, adding depth to my gaming sessions. The build quality of both the wheel and pedals is top-notch. They feel sturdy and durable, capable of withstanding intense gaming sessions without showing any signs of wear. The wheel's grip is comfortable for long periods, which is crucial for endurance races. Magnetic paddle shifters are a game-changer. I raced this wheel for about a year and a half, and loved every second of it. I raced in VR, and all of the controls were easy to feel on the thumb. The paddle shifters are loud, but they feel solid. Force feedback is adjustable on the wheel, and even though it peaks at 3.5nm, it's strong enough to limit steering and give a pretty good feeling of the road. The metal on the pedals does show some wear, but it's purely aesthetic and they still feel smooth. ... show more

    • Solid option if you’re not looking to pay direct drive prices

Before buying, be aware that: 1. You’ll want to have Windows 10/11 on a PC, even if you’re an Xbox gamer, so that you can download essential firmware updates. Do not overlook this, even if it means bringing the wheel to a friend’s house to perform the update. As long as you have a Windows computer, it is an easy update to perform. 2. It is well worth experimenting with the built-in FFB settings (1, 2 and 3) so you can have a great set-up for the driving feel and responsiveness you want with minimal in-game tinkering. 3. On console, you have to go with Thrustmaster accessories if you’re going to add-on an H-Shifter or handbrake, so look those up and keep that in mind if you think you’ll want to upgrade your setup. It’s the same deal with other manufacturers like Logitech—accessories have to be from within the same ecosystem unless you’re playing on PC. That said, it is tough to beat for the price. It has a good amount of torque with its gear/belt hybrid system (you’ll get far less if you settle for the gear-driven T150 or Logitech G923), and configuration through its digital display is convenient, especially as settings carry from game to game. It is not perfect, especially as it bugs out like everything else on XSX from time-to-time. However, it is an overall satisfying wheel to drive, and will probably make you want to own a full-blown sim rig at some point in the future. ... show more
