The cotton blanket is of good quality and appears to offer good value for the money. It has a well-controlled single row of finely-spaced stitching around the edges (folded-in seams). The smooth-surface fabric has been texturized somewhat, allowing for trapped air pockets to form. Therefore, three of these blankets stacked on top of one another may very well exceed the insulation value of a single cotton blanket costing three times as much, with the added flexibility of being able to adjust the number of insulative layers. I put it through two agitator machine washings before use, and the blanket was not adversely affected in any noticeable way.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this blanket! We use it as our comforter and it is SO soft!! Its lightweight, but still warm. LOVE that is is 100% cotton and not a scratchy blend. The overall size it perfect to use as a comforter. Great quality and I would buy this over and over! We've washed it twice and it's holding up great! Bought the Scottish Grey....very pleased!
