I bought this blanket after scouring other reviews to see the pros and cons. I remember seeing a lot on the thinness of the blanket, how light it is, and some people mentioned that it snagged easily. I'm used to cotton blankets and I think for a cotton blanket it's just right. So far mine hasn't snagged. I haven't run it through the wash yet, but I will come and edit this review once I have. The ingredients match the listing online - 100% cotton. It feels like cotton as well, I'm positive that the fabric is correct. It's generously sized - I have a twin mattress and there's more than enough excess that I'm not worried about the blanket shrinking. I love the stitch pattern. The head and foot of the blanket have a beautiful, thick hem, which I know will help the blanket hold its shape overtime. I'm very happy with my purchase. It's worth every penny.
