Fit true to size. I wear them with an orthotic, and had a little heel slip for the first few wearings. As the sole flex increased, the slip disappeared; and now they are very comfortable with good ankle support. Easy on and off!

    • Thorogood boots go from a 10 to a 1 in one design change

This is the third pair of the same style Thorogood Flex Series 6” boot I have purchased. Between the second and third pair of Thorogood boot I bought a design change occurred that has completely changed the fit and comfort of this boot. I have given the newer style 7 months to break in and/or form to my feet without success. While not painful to wear the comfort difference between the same style designs are not comparable. I wrote to Thorogood shortly after receiving my third pair and was given a short curt reply. Needless to say this will be my last purchase of Thorogood boots. People who wear work boots spend the majority of their time wearing these boots compared to the time they spend in leisure wear. When you find a product that was as comfortable out of the box as they were after breaking in the disappointment of a change to this product is immeasurable. The prompt for this late review is wearing a pair of my older Thorogood boots today and feeling the comfort level compared to my present work boots. Steve O ... show more

This is my second pair. The first pair were terrible. They rubbed the tops of my toes raw no matter what I did to prevent it. Also, some part of white, composite material failed and was crumbling out of them. It was like having rice in my shoes every morning. They were also incredibly wide and did not support my ankles. I wrote to Thorogood who DID stand behind their warranty and send me a new pair. The second pair fit much better, and I did not have any of the same problems. I gave it 3 stars because I cant say if the first pair was a fluke, or if it was the second. First pair 1 star, second pair 4.5 stars ... show more

Most comfortable boot that I’ve bought. The slip on style is very convenient, especially when in a rush. Style is very nice. The boots keep your feet dry. Had them for over a year and still keeps the arch. Someone who walks on concrete all day, that’s a huge plus. I would recommend the wider option for better fit. ... show more

Just to be clear for everyone reading this, I bought these boots under the impression that Thorogood Boots were still made in America. That is a large part of the reason I do not mind sending a bit more for the product. Employing Americans and receiving an American quality product. I normally wear an 11 1/2 Regular in work boots - (Whites , Nicks and Wesco) when these arrived at 11 1/2 they were just too big. Returned them and got a size 11 which fits good in length but still a little loose /sloppy in width so I put on my wool socks to take up the slack and went to work. They felt OK after standing in them all day, but not great. You know with a good pair of boots you look forward to putting them on in the morning...well these are not them. So that evening I am looking them over and see in the fine print on the tag inside the boot - "Made in China". Dang - can't tell you how bummed out I was and am. After wearing them a day I cannot return them so I will try them for the next couple of weeks as I save up for a decent pair of boots. Then in a couple of weeks I will write an other review. But right now these boots are a solid 2 out of 5 stars. ... show more

I like how nice looking they are and for the most part are fairly comfortable. The negative might not be a negative. The opening is big and my ankles aren't that big. But may be big so your foot can slip on easy??!! And the other would be where the safety toe is kinda narrow on top so when walking it just barely touches. Which can be annoying every now and than when you feel/ think about it. ... show more

My Thorogood’s and Red Wings have held up better than any other brand. I just bought these but they seem to be exactly what I was looking for. My Thorogood American Heritage 8” lace ups have been the best pair of boots i’ve owned. I keep my boots through a couple of sole replacements before I buy a new pair. Had them since June of ‘13 and they are still stout. Wore them every day ‘til about 3 years ago when I started switching them out every other day. On my 3rd set of soles. Hard soles are not practical or comfortable being on concrete all day. Using various chemicals to clean and resurface VCT and other flooring in the facility I work in, these boots have held up well. I bought a pair of Duluth Grindtone pull ons about 3 years ago and switched every other day with my lace ups. The Duluth Grindstone lasted about six months before the seams and toe cap began ripping loose and finally blew out. Replaced them with a pair of Worx 6” pull ons that lasted about a year before they blew out. These Thorogood pull ons are much better quality and way more comfortable. I highly recommend spending the extra money for these if you’re on your feet all day. ... show more
