I use this for being on the water on my standup paddle board and it is there for emergency use only. I had originally purchased full lifejackets for my wife and myself, but they’re very bulky and make the water experience less enjoyable. We are both comfortable in the water, but you never know when you might need the extra assistance, so this is a great option! Great quality and if ever deployed, it can be re-used, by deflating and attaching a new CO2 canister. I am a bigger guy and feel 100% confident that, if needed, this would be able to keep me afloat until assistance arrives or I can get back to safety. It is simple to put on and secure and can be used for any water sports, like paddle boarding, kayaking, rafting, etc. It’s so slim and unobstructing that you don’t know it’s there, but have peace of mind. The Functions are simple - secure it like any other life vest and if you need it, pull a cord and it inflates - similar to an airbag in your vehicle! There are many colors, so if you’re wanting to coordinate with your water apparel or device, you have options for how it looks! LOL ... show more

Fits great, comfortable and lightweight. I paddle board and kayak on an inland lake so it’s a nice safety must have gear. If I never need it I have peace of mind. If I need to use it then it was money well spent.

    • Great product but be careful not to deploy when taking out of the storage bag.

Great product except 1st time removing it the pull rope snagged and deployed the CO2 CARTRIDGE. Maybe an easy to use snag prevention pull knob that stores away but easy to access an emergency . I know it can be designed to prevent this. A pocket with Velcro as an example.

I purchased this item for myself last year since the more traditional padded life vests had proved cumbersome to use in my kayak. This vest is easy to configure and wear, comfortable, and is not nearly as hot to wear as a more traditional vest. While she is very petite compared to me, my wife was interested in swapping her traditional vest since hers tended to ride up while rowing and because the traditional vest was very warm to wear on hot days. I bought this for fishing on my kayak as the other option are a bit bulky and not what I want when I'm fishing on the lake. I'm a bigger guy over 6 foot and over 250 pounds and it fits great and is comfortable to wear. Im confident in my swimming so it's definitely more for an emergency but its nice to have and doesn't bother me to wear. Packaging was good and folds up nicely. Would recommend for light use if your not planning on being in the water and as an emergency otherwise I would recommend a full life jacket but this is perfect for what I need.
