  • Best shoes ive ever owned.
Size: 10 Color: Black
These shoes are awesome. Amazing steel toe they are required for my job, i get a TON OF COMPLIMENTS on them. Theyre the best looking at best material shoes ive ever had. The leather on these shoes smells so good. They are worth the money no doubt. People say these have no break in period? There is one but it is so comfortable that you will NOT NOTICE. The best thing is i have been wearing these to work for about 2 months. I sweat in them all day. I take them off: They still smell like straight LEATHER on the inside! they do not even stink they are amazing. Cannot recommend these enough. I am going to buy another pair just for myself to wear. Love these shoes! ... show more

  • Solid work boot
Size: 13 Color: Trail Crazyhorse
I bought these work boots as a second choice. I wanted another pair of Chippewa #20081 6" steel toe work boots with a round toe. However, I needed them sooner than later as I had worn a hole through my previous Chippewa boots is said style (took me 18 months to achieve that feat). The Thorogood boots were also nearly $50 cheaper on Amazon. So after much deliberation I am the proud owner of these awesome boots. And they are pretty awesome. Very nice fit and finish. I will say they seemed a little narrow for a 13(D) when I first slipped them on, but once I walked around in them they felt fine. I normally don't need wide shoes, but some who are on the fence and sometimes wear a (EE) might want to consider going for that as they do run a tiny bit narrow in my opinion. Other than that I have no complaints so far. They do require some breaking in to get comfortable. But all good boots do. I will update this post with any failures or milestones. I absolutely loved my Chippewa boots and it was difficult to switch brands so even though I'm now a fan of Thorogood boots I'm still rocking my waxed leather Chippewa laces with the American flag medallion at the bottom. Best boot laces available in my opinion. Update: worked 60+ hours this week and these boots are every bit worth the price. I won't go as far as some people saying that there is virtually no break in. I think that's probably an exaggeration. They are comfy don't get me wrong. But I still find they have some relaxing to do and certain angles on the forklift still cause a little discomfort. Overall I'm almost ready to say I'd buy these over my previous Chippewa's. But I'll have to see how they stack up durability wise before I can make that call. ... show more

  • Helped my knee pain and fatigue.
Size: 12 Color: Crazyhorse
Really the best boot you can buy for work. I work in an industrial setting and am a heavier bigger dude and these boots hold up great, I've torn through brunts and other boots and finally decided it was worth a shot to try. My knees feel better with a better quality and supportive boot. It's worth the price and your supporting America a little more with these union made boots. ( other brands like brunt make it look like this boot on the outside but can't keep up with the quality materials on the inside, watch rose anvil cut apart the boots and compare) ... show more

  • Top-notch Boot, but not quite "broken in" out of the box.
Size: 10.5 Color: Tobacco Oil-tanned
I'm a big fan of quality work boots, as I've spent the last 30 years plus on concrete floors, so I don't go cheap on my feet. I bought a pair of Wescos about 7 weeks ago, but they weren't steel-toed. Changed jobs about 3 weeks ago and had to have steel toes. I've never found anything that competes with my Wescos, but these are proving to be a good quality boot at half the cost. The fact that my new employer chips in $100.00 to help cover the cost doesn't hurt either. While these boots are not "broke-in" right away, they are tolerable for a few days until they do get broke in. My only issue has been with the right boot, which has been pretty painful on the side of my foot, due to it being a little too narrow, but that is probably more to do with my foot, than the boot. However, I've never had that issue with any other boot I've broken in over the years. I will say that they are pretty comfy right out of the box, and you'd never know you were wearing a steel-toed boot. I've spent a lot of time squatted down on concrete over the last week with them and I've never felt the steel toe at all. The tread is definitely less-aggressive than my Vibram lug Wesco soles, but they seem to do quite well for not slipping around. I've also managed to not have any blisters on my feet while wearing them and that says a lot, considering I'm logging about 12 miles a day on stairs, concrete floors, gravel and step ladders. This is my first pair of steel-toed boots, so I really don't have anything in that regard to compare to, but I believe that within time; these could become very comfortable. The last two days of work before the holiday weekend, I noticed a definite improvement on how my feet felt after I got off work. That's after working a 12 hour day and a 10. These boots go on at 3:00 am and they don't come off until 7:00 or 8:00 in the evening, six days a week. I'm not sure there' a boot made that would keep my feet from hurting under these circumstances, so I suppose you have to take that into consideration. The test for any boot is how well the'll hold up over time, so I'll post back when I've got some serious miles under them, but as it stands I'm quite happy with them and they are a quality, American-made boot. Update after a about a year and a half. I said I'd be back and these boots are still going strong. As a sheet metal worker, we put our boots through hell and back and these have certainly been there and done that. I've recommended these to every worker I'm around. While my buddy's Redwings are coming apart on the soul and the toe is worn out; my Thorogoods are still going strong. I had a fitbit for a while, before I lost it off my wrist, and it indicated that I averaged about 17,000-22,000 steps per day and 10-12 miles. There are days that the only part of my body that doesn't hurt at the end of the day is my feet, thanks to these boots. Mile for mile and dollar for dollar, nothing beats these boots for durability and comfort. I wish they'd make a composite toe, waterproof model for architectural work in the winter time though, as the lack of waterproof and a cold steel toe can sometimes wear on you, but other than that; there's nothing finer on the market than these boots. If there was, I'd buy it, regardless of the price. My review was originally 4 stars, since I'm hard to please, but that has been bumped to 5, simply because of their longevity and comfort over the long-haul. ... show more
