So far they are great boots. I was having issues with the insoles that came with the boot. They sort of raised the heel up higher then the toes which wasn't good for my arthritis. After switching the insoles out for something more flat I've been enjoying the boots. They feel higher quality than any other boot I've purchased and I've been wearing boots for over two decades now. I also was afraid of them not being black because my job involves lots of grease and oil. The problem solved itself though.. They are now basically black. I measured my foot and bought based on the chart at 11.1 inches which indicated an 11.5 but I probably would have been fine with an 11. The only other thing that comes to mind is to note these was waterproof and built pretty thick so they retain considerable heat. I might regret it later this summer but so far I am very much satisfied with my purchase. ... show more

When I first put them on I was skeptical as they felt weird. After breaking in the insole for about a day these have been great the boot hugs my foot and makes for a stable feeling boot. The outsole also feels great has been really comfortable to walk, run, and climb in and out of trucks. They look good too only thing I don’t like about it that they scuffed really easy but then again they are work boots so there will be scuffs no matter what. ... show more

My second pair of Thorogoods and I’m disappointed with the quality. After my first pair lasted only 6 months, I decided to buy redwings which lasted a little over 2 years. I bought a second set of redwings because I liked the first pair so much and they are still in my fleet of work boots. I saw these and decided to give Thorogood another chance. I purchased these boots the first week of April and the leather is already peeling on the toe. I haven’t dropped anything on them, nor have I brushed the toe against anything. I’m pretty careful with my work boots and I’m religious about cleaning the leather with high quality saddle soap, with a follow up treatment of leather conditioner. It’s pretty crappy because I blew through my boot allowance on this pair alone. ... show more

I wish I could wear these boots. Nothing against the boots but I have narrow B width feet and Thorogood doesn't make these in that width size. I ordered the D (regular) width but my foot wasn't secured even with the laces pulled tight asf. Also I am hard on the toes and heels so a boot with the toe/heel caps are better for me. These boots look great and feel comfortable to stand in. I would recommend them outside of the above mentioned issues that are not the boots or manufacturers fault. ... show more

Very well made. A little pricey, but not really when I don't even get a year out of the Chinese boots that I've been paying over 100.00 for. Break-in hasn't been too bad, due to the really nice leather used. I will probably buy these again if these ever wear out

I would always buy my Union made Thorogood workboots from a Union site, Amazon sold me the same boots I’ve been wearing of over 30 years for $75 cheaper, the boots are so comfortable and last a long time. My workboots are the most comfortable shoes I have, I’m in my boot 12-16 hours a day
