This is my sixth pair of these boots and I refuse to wear anything else to work in. I’m a welder/pipefitter/fabricator and these hold up well and are the best boot for stomping concrete all day. I tried a pair of Brunt boots and they were terrible. I returned them the day after I received them. I went back to these and won’t buy anything else from here on out. Thankful these were available on Amazon. Our one son ordered because they came in size 15 EEEE. Then our oldest son ordered a pair. They love them. Even after over a month of owning them, you can still smell the leather. They love that they're made in the USA. Super comfortable workboot.

The media could not be loaded. I had a pair on the 6" and they lasted me a solid 3 years. These 8" really feel different but in a positive way. The way the boot laces up to the leg shin area every time you step you hardly feel any drag on the foot. Not sure if it makes any sense but every time I step I hardly feel the boot or the boot weight dragging my foot down. ... show more

These are very good boots. I put them through a lot, over five thousand miles in thirteen months, but they've held up quite well. I would buy them again, were it not for the restoration service offered by Thorogood. I highly recommend them. They are comfortable, although sizing is a little bit of an issue. Im giving this boot 2 stars because right out of the box there were visible spots on the front of the sole that were separating from the boot. Ive seen other reviews with the sole seperation problem. The boot fits amazing and feels great. Awesome construction other than the sole. But there was a gap in three different spots at the front of one boot. I am returning these and going to give the second pair a chance. Ill write another review when the second pair comes. UPDATE: I recieved my second pair after returning the first after i saw the sole of the boot was already separating. The second pair had no visible seperation spots when i received the boots. I wore the boots for about a week to see how they would hold up. The first few days i wore them to work, and the last few days i wore them while hiking in the mountains to see how they would hold up. After a week of wearing these boots, the sole began to seperate from the boot again. I really wanted to like these boots thats why i gave them a second chance. I am extremely disappointed that i paid 240 dollars for a pair of boots TWICE, only to have them fall apart immediately. It would take alot for me to go back to buying thorogood boots ever again. I bought these boots for work, so I will update this if they prove to not be as tough as they seem. Out of the box they seem very well made, and despite needing some break in (as all boots do) they are much more comfortable than usual, I expect they will be very comfortable after a couple weeks of regular use. The leather seems high quality, and the toe box is extremely stiff (a good sign that they didn't skimp there). Once they are broken in I will treat them and start using them, if they last more than a year and remain comfortable, I would say money well spent. They do look pretty sharp when new and clean also, I might order a second pair for casual use with jeans, with the plan of having them become work boots to replace the current pair. ... show more
