This is my sixth pair of these boots and I refuse to wear anything else to work in. I’m a welder/pipefitter/fabricator and these hold up well and are the best boot for stomping concrete all day. I tried a pair of Brunt boots and they were terrible. I returned them the day after I received them. I went back to these and won’t buy anything else from here on out. I was hesitant to buy these at $300 because I go through a pair a year and consider boots disposable. First, I broke them in within the first week, they fit like a glove and my feet are not as sore as usual. they are warm and seem at least water resistant so far. I feel like if I take care of them they may last more than a year. The only downside for me is the lacing. I knew that when I bought them but I would get lace ups with zippers next time. Hopefully that won't be for a while. I use them for work and MC riding. The tie is a little high for shifting but I think I will get used to it. These are very good boots. I put them through a lot, over five thousand miles in thirteen months, but they've held up quite well. I work in the oil and gas industry and these boots are my go to. Pricey but worth the money. Depending on the abuse you put them through they can last as long as 3 years plus they are re-sole able.

Im giving this boot 2 stars because right out of the box there were visible spots on the front of the sole that were separating from the boot. Ive seen other reviews with the sole seperation problem. The boot fits amazing and feels great. Awesome construction other than the sole. But there was a gap in three different spots at the front of one boot. I am returning these and going to give the second pair a chance. Ill write another review when the second pair comes. UPDATE: I recieved my second pair after returning the first after i saw the sole of the boot was already separating. The second pair had no visible seperation spots when i received the boots. I wore the boots for about a week to see how they would hold up. The first few days i wore them to work, and the last few days i wore them while hiking in the mountains to see how they would hold up. After a week of wearing these boots, the sole began to seperate from the boot again. I really wanted to like these boots thats why i gave them a second chance. I am extremely disappointed that i paid 240 dollars for a pair of boots TWICE, only to have them fall apart immediately. It would take alot for me to go back to buying thorogood boots ever again. Thankful these were available on Amazon. Our one son ordered because they came in size 15 EEEE. Then our oldest son ordered a pair. They love them. Even after over a month of owning them, you can still smell the leather. They love that they're made in the USA. Super comfortable workboot.
