These boots are the best money can buy. skipped buying a new pair last year on a Black Friday sale but made sure to buy this year. This is the 4th pair of Thorogood boots, my 3rd pair of 1957 series. The boot in the pic is 3 yrs old never oiled or polished worked the original sole off of them had them locally re-soled still going. I have tried other models but I returned to the 1957 waterproof, insulated they’re warm in the winter, cool in the summer (Florida) and a great riding boot on my motorcycle. High quality Union made boot well worth the money. Not sure why the other folks had issues I am quite sure Thorogood would stand by their product if in fact there was a flaw in the Manufacturing. To many pros to complain about my tag has a stain on it etc…. Highly recommend to purchase. Fits comfortably great looking and durable American made boot.

So my first pair of nice work boots I ever bought were redwings, and they didn't last 9 months before I needed a new pair. These thorogoods I've had for almost 2 years now and I've just had to buy a new pair. I will say though that the break in is worse with these than the redwings I bought, but you will have a longer lasting boot in the long run if you buy these and they will be more comfortable with time as you break them in

My husband has worn Red Wings for years and decided to try these after two years of leg pain, foot pain and ankle pain. His feet and legs feel much better. He said they are way more comfortable than his old brand and wished he would have bought these years ago. As a sheet metal worker, in his 60's, he is on cement all day, lots of walking and going up stairs that can be slick. The soles on the boots really make a difference. He loves these boots. Great quality, look nice, super comfy and great value. No complaints!

I just bought these and wanted to see how the steel toe model fit. I have been wearing soft 8 in. moc toes for years with great success and results with no complaints. So I have to say these are true to size and are very comfortable. I only wear wool boot socks and others say they fit tighter with the WP membrane but I can’t disagree more. My reason for 4 stars is Amazon only sells factory seconds because I have received and returned several pairs due to numerous defects in quality and appearance. I again noticed the boots were mismatched with the left toe being twisted at the last which made it fit tight. From the top view the stitching was off but not a deal breaker. And again these are just work boots, but all I have ever received were “B” stock items and it does sting some knowing your paying full price so maybe the pricing should reflect this. This is not a knock against the boot maker since I have ordered these boots from outside amazon and have had zero issues but I believe Thorogood are the most comfortable boots around just be careful buying them from Amazon. Good luck out there and keep kicking a shovel with these awesome boots! I attempted to upload images but it did not work, sorry about that.

Should’ve bought them a long time ago! Broke in one weekend, warmed up leather used Herbert shoe grease, wore them a couple hours between greasing. did this 3 times between Saturday and Sunday.

These seemed like a remanufactured boot. They had a flaky clear coat sheen to them and the sole was peeling from the toe straight out of the box
