This is my second umbrella (the first I purchased in all black). I love how this umbrella functions. I like being able to quickly open and close the button when I am entering/exiting my car or getting on/off the light rail when everyone is trying to get on the train and out of the rain. I also like that this umbrella folds out to be a bit larger than my previous ones that I purchased from Target (and whose button only opens). These umbrellas have also lasted longer than others that I have purchased in the past. I had wanted another one of these as a back-up umbrella and the pattern was too cute to pass up. I plan on eventually replacing my various umbrellas with these as I would prefer to buy quality over quantity. I keep one in my car, one at my office, another at my house, and sometimes I’m carrying one on me.

This umbrella is magical. Not only does it spring open, but it also springs closed, keeping the water off you once you're in a dry area. Its small enough to bring anywhere, and the fully open size is enough for one person to keep themselves dry in most rain storms. I've already impressed my friends with the closing magic of this umbrella, and I've bought 2 more to keep in various locations for emergencies. The spring loaded dual action magic is perfect for getting in and out of a car and remaining totally dry. A solid purchase if you ever expect rain, and even better to keep somewhere convenient (like your glove compartment) if you don't expect rain. Just don't press the button in the rain unless you want to get wet and look like an idiot.
