My dad wanted this to tote around in case the family cars needed it. From what he told me, it was a little too complicated for what it’s worth. The device itself seems sturdy and the following review isn’t about the functionality of the device since we couldn’t even test it to it’s full potential. The set up process was quite... annoying; the instructions in the manual didn’t match the companion app so we just had to make do with figuring it out ourselves. That part wasn’t too bad though; the app just didn’t want to progress to the next step. In order to make progress, we had to close the app and restart the process over and over, each time making more progress than the last. Once it was done, it didn’t really provide much info. We ended up returning it. I’d like to add we gave it to a friend at another house to see if he experienced the same thing and he had the same issue so it wasn’t a bad connection kind of thing. ... show more

    • Neat tool for the average car owner!
I wasn't sure what to expect out of this little blue tooth tool, so I was pleasantly surprised that it is much more than just a wireless code reader. Once plugged in, I was able to read and clear codes, but also I was able to view a variety of live data right from the engine computer. Coolant temp, air temp, rpm, fuel trim are all listed and can be displayed on your smart phone. I used it on an Android phone, but the manual says it works with Apple products too. Overall I'm happy with it, and look forward to playing with it more as the years go by. ... show more

I’ve seen a few YouTube product reviews for this so I was excited to try it. Now I know that every one of them were paid or they got the product for free. The app is terrible. It had the option of logging in with my Apple ID. So I did but it never let me choose a password. And now it crashes when I try and change my password. There isn’t product support on their site unless you are on the same time schedule as China. If they are going to charge a software subscription for a $70+ product, maybe they should make sure it isn’t full of bugs. Returned. ... show more

Having this super useful/little device was really convenient for me. I don’t have to pay for dealership fee just to check what’s wrong with my car. I can just plug it right in my car’s OBDii port it reads code right out within its app on my phone connected thru Bluetooth. I had a Bluetooth one before the connection was just so bad not counting the app. Worth the money spent. ... show more

    • You have to pay to use the device after you purchase it
This would have been so helpful cause of the tpms reset functions on the device. But seriously? Why make customers pay to unlock features on a device that is basically $50 everywhere you look and essentially have a subscription plan to lock it to your car. These are meant to be things that you use for years and can just plug into your car to fix or read codes. Not sit and pull out your wallet while your probably already pulling out your wallet on parts for your vehicle that isnt working. ... show more
