I have been a fan of Harlan Coben pretty much since he started his long career. I think this is best of the many I have read. More human, maybe not as dark as some. But many twists and turns. And the usual NY, NJ and other geographic references.

Best murder mystery I've read in quite a while. The author pulls you in right from the start. With all the possible suspects I didn't see the outcome in advance . You need to read o book .

Good page turner !

I’m reading this book while I was in the hospital so I was on a lot of drugs so I did have a bit of trouble with the flow, but I think that’s because of my mental state and not the way the book is written. The characters are easy to follow and like or hate The plot was fun and I became attached to the main character Myron. I didn’t really know what was going on until about 65% of the book was finished which I found a little disturbing but again my mental state , but if you’re looking for a quick read, good Page Turner I recommend this book , don’t think twice lol. ... show more

God I love these books and these characters.

I just realized that I have been reading this series for over 20 years. I have so many memories of my children at different ages while reading a Myron Bolitar book. This series has only gotten better with time. The book starts off with MB SportReps having just reopened their doors, and the FBI dropping in for a chat with Myron. It seems one of Myron’s former clients, Greg Downing, whom readers of the series know that he has a long and storied history with, and who Myron previously eulogized at his funeral, left DNA at the scene of a murder, and they want to know where to find him. Since Myron was never officially fired by Greg(he just died), he feels he is still a client, and must find him, and get to the bottom of whatever is going on. Immediately he and Win, who is one of my favorite characters of all time, set out to do just that. This book is so well written, and the dialogue will make you smile, and occasionally laugh out loud. If you have never had the joy of reading this series, I am so jealous, because it truly is one of the greats. I am super excited for the series coming to a streaming service that rhymes with “Bet Hicks”, and the standalone book “Win” is excellent as well. Please don’t pass on this book. CONVOLUTED, TWISTS and TURNS

Is it possible for Harlan Corben to write bad book? NO! At least none of the 7-8 I have read so far. Myron and Wen are such great characters and the word play between them just heightens their relationship. Never a dull moment in this book, no skipped sentences, paragraphs or pages that I frequently do with other authors. Buy this book and you won’t be sorry. great end to the series…..???

If this is the end of the Myron Bolitar story, I think it was a good ending. If Coben continues, it’ll have to be with Myron as a supporting cast member. I thought it was a very solid book. Good twist at the end. The character development in the last few books has been astronomical, especially for Win. The characters are aging and it is done well in this book. ... show more
