The plumbing took about 20 minutes. Here is a big plumbing hint….buy a 3/8” coupling. Instead of removing the hose from the faucet, remove it from the supply line. Use the 3/8” coupling to add a short piece of hose to connect to the heater outlet. If I had tried to remove the hose from the faucet, I would have had to remove the garbage disposal and all of the drain piping in order to get to the faucet. For me, the electrical took about 90 minutes. I used the garbage disposal wiring. I removed the wire from the disposal and ran it to a new outlet for the water heater. Then I tied a new switch to the outlet to power the disposal. The heater is plugged into the outlet and is always on. The disposal is operated from a switch just inside the cabinet. The switch above the counter that powered the disposal in the past, stays on. Unless we go on vacation and then we will turn it off. The circuit is ground fault protected. My water heater is 1.3 gallons. It doesn’t run hot long enough to span the gap from my main water heater, but it’s a big help. I can start washing dishes while the main hot water makes it to the kitchen. 2.5 gallons would have been perfect, but I didn’t have the space. ... show more

Had plumber install because of different fittings needed for my type of kitchen plumbing. Probably could have done it myself but had plumber do anyway. Delivers instant hot water which you can adjust the temperature with simple twist to dial. The tank hold over a gallon so enough on demand hot water for most quick needs. It will run out and then you must wait for the normal hot water flow. Overall very satisfied with this small on demand hot water tank for the kitchen faucet. Couple of things - you need room under your sink to mount so do the measurements and you also need outlet under sink to plug it in. Simple installation (if you clean out under the sink first). Works grrrr8. I luvvit and am considering ordering another (thinking about cleaning out under the kitchen sink). Hint... Turn the temperature control wide open. It works best at the highest setting. Now a month or so later I have gotten the 1.3 gallon unit for under my kitchen sink. I bought the 1,3 gallon unit since the 2.5 was too deep. The 1.3 gallon unit is good for warn water to wash my hands but it runs out of hot water after about 20 seconds becoming warm till the hot water from my master water heater gets through it. ... show more

Easy to install, works as expected but it’s heavy when full. Lag bolts supplied are barely enough to hold it. Mine fell and broke the plastic shell four days in. My fault for sure, (substituted different bolts) don’t underestimate the weight.
