I do Like this product, I just do not care for the cost of the refills. You have to refill the fuel chamber as well as replace the pad inserts. The fuel lasts 12 hours, which is nice, the pads probably last about 3 hours straight. We spend a lot of time outside in the summer and this is nice to have sitting near you when you’re a mosquito magnet. ... show more

WOW! I was skeptical but my boyfriend and I have been camping more often with our dog and wanted some more protection from bugs. this really works, I am mind blown. you can actually step outside of the radius and you will get eaten alive but anywhere the thermacell is, not a mosquito in sight. def would buy again and recommend to a friend ... show more

The unit is nice looking and will be easy to use which I would do now except the package was supposed to contain 3 mosquito repellent pads but only had the fuel cell but NO repellent pads. I totally opened up the box but they were not included in my order as indicated on the package

Works as expected for keeping the mosquitoes away. I wish it had a switchable timer to shut it off after a predetermined time (1-3 hours would be ideal since the repellent pads are designed to last for at least three hours). It's easy to forget that it's on and to forget to shut it off (especially if you fall asleep). It's kind of a waste of resources (fuel) to wake up the next morning to find that you almost emptied the fuel cartridge. Also, I have noticed that if left outside and the overnight temperature falls to about 60° or less, the unit takes a few tries to to start. Also, don't leave this unattended in a place that gets direct sunlight for more than half an hour. Direct solar heat will obviously activate the pad and you'll come home to find that you need a new one. That warning may be in the instructions, but who reads those? Anyway, I like it and it does what I bought it for. I just have to be more diligent in shutting it off, at least until Thermacell gives me a timer, then I can go back to being my good old irresponsible self. Ciao! ... show more
