Description

It’s one thing to read about witches; it’s another thing to discover you are one. When Glasgow law student David Hunter survives a mysterious attack, he discovers he's a descendant of a long line of witches known as Dream Dancers. Thrust into a hidden world of magic, government conspiracies, and perilous quests, David must master his newfound abilities to protect the mystical Akashic Records—the key to humanity's past, present, and future. Alongside the fiery Jessica Campbell, wise Aunt Gen, and the underworld creature Terence, they face malevolent forces aiming to manipulate reality.Their adversary is the sinister media mogul Alicia Collins and her clandestine organization, which seeks to drain the world's energy and control the masses through manipulation and deceit. With the British and American governments entangled in conspiracy, the Witches of Scotland are the last line of defence against a global catastrophe known as "The Big Reset." As prophecies unfold and the threat of the Akashic Records being destroyed looms large, alliances are tested, secrets are unveiled, and the ultimate battle between good and evil reaches its climax.Set in Glasgow and Edinburgh, and brimming with themes of self-discovery, media manipulation, and the quest for belonging, this complete 8-book series offers a mesmerising journey that blurs the lines between myth and reality. Follow David's transformation from an ordinary student to a powerful witch in a gripping narrative filled with fast-paced action, complex characters, and a unique blend of magickal realism and conspiracy thriller.Whether you're a fan of supernatural thrillers, urban fantasy, or stories of personal transformation, The Witches of Scotland will captivate you from beginning to end. • Resonates with the world events today!
Format: Kindle
Scary how much truth can be found in fiction when there’s so little truth in news reports or other media coverage today. These books are fascinating and well worth reading!

  • Fantastic Audible!!
Format: Audiobook
I absolutely loved this series. Steven Aitchison crafted such a captivating story with characters that stick with you long after the last chapter. Lianne Walker’s narration brought everything to life beautifully. Her Scottish accent? Perfection. This series didn’t just entertain me. It made me want to pack a bag and head straight to Scotland! 🏴💙 ... show more

  • Yes! I recommend it!
Format: Kindle
The series was engaging... just a few notes. With a few spoilers 1 the books never realy tell you why his parents stayed away all those years... the excuse for leaving him was weak and binding his powers not quite completely covered. 2 it talks about sex energy and power but neglects to mention how he and Jessica move from their ok looking to omg it's you and only you. 3 the true bad guy was a rarely mentioned side character and kind of a puny boss to battle. ... show more

  • Exceptional Author
Format: Kindle
Steven Aitchison is a gifted story teller. His work in urban fantasy extends the prior works of other exceptional authors and engages the reader in an updated perspective of the world. He combines fantasy with contemporary social media, technology, and life in modern society. Aitchison pits magick against some of our most pressing social and environmental issues. He challenges the reader to consider the moral implications of our choices and shows that even if you had extraordinary powers it all comes down to the decisions you make to use those powers. I appreciate that Aitchison incorporates both young and older characters in his writing as heroes. As an older adult, I often find that I have difficulty connecting with a twenty year old character and the choices they make. The wisdom of older characters and their hesitancy to deal with change is refreshing and realistic. I am somewhat amazed at Aitchison's prophetic ability to outline the implications of digital currency, global pandemics, uncontrolled media, biotechnology, and political greed. He does so without preaching and seamlessly incorporates these themes into his stories as challenges, issues, and motivation for his characters. I have read thousands of fantasy fiction books and would rate Steven Aitchison's work among the top one percent along with Stephen Donaldson, Kevin Hearn, Elizabeth Hunter, and Jim Butcher (I know - pretty rare company and this is only the fifth review I have ever been motivated to write) ... show more

  • It's OK
Format: Audiobook
I'm currently on Book 5. It is not a great story, but it is intriguing in that it utilizes modern issues in it. Not convinced that this should be separate books. None of the books are able to stand alone.

  • A Great Story Woven Through Today's Reality
Format: Kindle
This is a great story woven through the fabric of today's reality. It potrays history and current times in an unconventional way to show how ALL life is intertwined. No one life is totally separate from all other living entities.

  • Present day witches and not historical. Sometimes a bit too technical.
Format: Kindle
Good reading. I thought it was going to be historical, and was surprised to find out it was a few years ahead of current day. Loved the David and Jessica characters. Also really enjoyed the Academy.
