I recently purchased this. The step is nicely made. However, the size of it didn’t fit my exercise needs. It was very small and cramped for me. I just knew that if I kept it I wouldn’t be happy. My feet wanted to slip off the front of the step. And I just knew that doing any corner to corner moves it would be way too small. I returned and ordered something bigger. I am pleasantly surprised today after 3rd time ^^ Bought this back in March when ordered ‘shelter in place’. I was initially looking to buy something for my mom for light strengthening exercise as I was concerned with her knees. After brief review I realized this type of steps could be too risky for her who is new to this equipment and may risk slipping off. Instead I bought this for myself to help train leg muscles to handle stairs better as there are no easily accessible ones those days. When not in use, I put this under desk as a footstep, due to its lean profile it actually works pretty well for home office ergonomic setup. Of course that’s just added benefit. First two times I set this this up with two bumping blocks underneath at its full height of 6”? And I did the typical steps as I normally would do at the gym. Due to an injury one of my legs couldn’t easily handle the weight load when stepping on it, which discouraged me from regular use. Today when the heat kept me indoors I brought it out again and not in the mood to make things harder for myself, only used the platform by itself. This may have been a solution for the time being. Not only I didn’t experience any strain on the injury side, also the low profile makes it easier to step from side to side. Something I intend to work on. While doing that, I noticed that the calf muscles, in particular the ones attached from the back of the knees got worked out better also well stretched as I step off the floor, which is normally very hard to isolate from other exercises. I am light also with narrower feet, so for me this is very steady and stable. Not slippery at all even with half of it rested on tiles. Though the part bearing weight was on wood floor, also the direction of movement worked against the smoother surface. Worked out just perfect in the end! I just started virtual physical therapy for my ankle and one of my exercises utilized a step. I saw multiple, more expensive options available but thought I'd give this a try. So far so good. It is sturdy and sufficient for my weight (200 pounds). Some of the reviewers expressed concern about the step flexing. I don't feel unstable, I think the flex (using 2 risers) is an appropriate level of give for higher intensity moves. At this point I am using a single step, but I appreciate the option to add height as I get stronger. I had wondered about the size, the dimensions are smaller than some of the steps on the market, but this size is perfect for step exercises (not for utilizing as a bench to lie on). It is great for my size 10 feet, and I wouldn't want to go larger. It is big enough for my needs but compact enough to move around and store easily when not in use. ... show more

Received the step with all parts and in brand new condition. Easily put it together without difficulty. The step is wide enough to complete a workout comfortably (I wear a size 8 in women’s shoes). It’s easy to store. The addition of online streaming workout videos is also nice (but I haven’t tried them so I can’t speak to the quality or content of those videos). However, I’m well below the weight limit and there seems to be a bit too much give when I step in the center of the step. I’m not sure how long it will last. In fact the safety instructions indicate that the top mat will tear with heavy use? Daily workouts considered heavy use? Also, as other users have indicated the risers don’t really lock in and moving the step requires reassembling it, which isn’t really a deal breaker but it would be nice if the pieces stayed in place. So, three stars for now and I will update for better or worse as time goes by. Not sure if would purchase this step again. ... show more
