I'll admit I'm basing this review on a set I purchased 1-2 years ago, but the new ones look and feel identical. I got a 2nd chair and liked the first set so much that I bought another. The wheels are super smooth and don't sound like they're grating your hardwood floors, like the stock chair wheels. They are much quieter too. Just be careful until you get used to them because they will definitely move a lot quicker than the stock wheels. The bearings and moving parts have held up on my first set very well, and I use that chair daily. The wheels are attractive and fun. They are easy to install. Just pull out the stock wheels and push these in. They will snap into place, no problem. I recommend for hardwood floors! ... show more

I ordered these wheels online as we were replacing our floors to wood and I have seen what the plastic wheels can do. They arrived and were sturdy and looked nicely on the chair. You can just slightly push the chair and it will roll almost across the floor! This is in comparison to the loud dragging I did with the plastic ones. There is a lot to like about these wheels! First, they are easy to install. Second, they roll smoothly and silently!!! Third, and most importantly, they will not scratch up or mar your hardwood floors! I could not be more pleased with this purchase, or the other set I bought for my other desk chair! I'll check back in after a while to see how they hold up, but I don't have any concerns. They seem very well built and the seller Office Oasis says they will stand behind them- I believe them!     • Effortless and Silent Rolling

Expensive, but a solid splurge buy if you know what you are looking for. Quick TL;DR: +Almost Non-existent Rolling Resistance +Dead Silent Rolling +Good Quality +Simple Installation and Interchangeable -Slight Squeaking when turning quickly (Not a big deal, but may be unpleasant for some) -Rolls too well and too silently (Comes down to personal preference) -Definitely don't use these if your floor is not level as your chair can and will roll away. +/- It's expensive, but you get what you pay for and it's quite good. I've always eyed these casters for awhile and have heard good things about them. Looking at the price though I always passed on them thinking how much of a difference could it be? So today I ended up pulling the trigger and getting these casters from office oasis. They came in a simple compact box with almost no other gimmicks. Installation was extremely simple. Just pull off the old casters and pop on the new ones. The moment I put the seat on the wheels I noticed the difference. It was dead silent and had practically no rolling resistance. The space I use it for has simple hardwood flooring and with the lightest touch the chair would just go. If you looked at it the wrong way it would probably roll off and since it's silent you might not even notice it sneaking away. That does raise two problems depending on your use scenario and personal preference. It rolls really well. Like really really well. You might not want to be sliding around everwhere and may prefer having your chair be more static and keep you in place. It's also completely silent, only lightly squeaking when turning quickly on the dime like moving back and forth quickly. So it may roll away and bump into things without you noticing. Regarding it's quality of not scratching the floors, I am not able to tell just yet since I just installed them, but they are definitely softer and more gentler than the typical hard plastic rollers I had on previously. If you know what you want and what you want is silent and effortless rolling while protecting your floors, this is definitely worth a look. It is certainly build solidly and the quality feels good. Consider the fact that these can be swapped out at any time if you want to go back or change chairs. Just simple pop them out and put them away or put them on another chair. You may not like your chair essentially being very sensitive and moving too much in which case I suppose it's not for you. Those are the main features of these casters though. ... show more

I recently purchased these wheels for my wife's desk chair. The wheels on her chair were the original ones and were not very good at all. They were hard to roll, noisy and would lock up at any given moment. I saw these among others and decided to try these first. They were very easy to replace. I just pulled the old ones out and pushed the new ones into the holes. Perfect fit. My wife is amazed at how smooth they are and how quiet they roll. She has to be careful around our dogs because they roll very easy, and the dogs are not suspecting that she is getting ready to move the chair. They did add a little height to her chair, but it presented no problems for her at all. I didn't realize how quiet they were until I needed to move the chair to reroute a cable for her. I usually had to give the chair a good tug to move it, but when I grabbed the chair this time, I almost ran it into the wall. WOW. The wheels are a game changer. I will be telling everyone to look into these wheels when the time comes to replace their wheels. Thanks again for a great product. ... show more
