first open: I was going to wait for a sale, but my back was hurting from the 10 buck backpack i picked up from costco. Glad I didn’t wait, backpack was well worth the money! The back is firm but flexible which is fantastic for protecting whatever tech you might want to put in there. I appreciate how many different sections there are for different ways to organize. There’s enough room for at least 2-4 days of clothes in the middle pocket depending on how tall and large you are too. The pack doesn't feel all that heavy at all. Item came in perfect condition with no flaw in fabric, buckle, or color. I think the only thing that got me was the pocket under the mesh front only is about half as long as the backpack so its a lot smaller. This doesnt affect me but might throw others off if you want a little more pocket space up front! I will update this in maybe a month on how it is holding up. ... show more

She did have a North Face Jester backpack that she carried for 8 years, and this one is slightly larger. It's a very good quality backpack and should last many years. Used this as my go to bag while in college for grad school. I was able to fit all my supplies, computers, papers, etc. I also would switch to use as a carry on, many easy to organize pockets, and to a day hike bag. Lots of veritility, served many functions, and still in great shape years later.

This is a very nice backpack, and I like the color a lot. However, my husband has the same backpack, but the men’s version, and it has better storage capacity than the women’s. We have the same laptop, same case, etc., when I bought his (at a store) I took mine along with me to test that it fit well enough as I knew he’d be carrying it a lot. The laptop fit in his perfectly, but in the women’s version the laptop compartment is big enough for just the laptop, no case, no charger, nothing extra. I don’t see why this would be changed to be smaller on the women’s version, kinda seems like BS to me. Other than a decreased storage capacity because of gender, and apparently no other reason, from the men’s version this is a really great bag. ... show more
