True to size. You could size down as the cinch waist is very flattering and adjustable. I didn't bc I have broad shoulders. I'm 5'5, 152lbs. Sleeves are perfect length, double zipper so you can undo the bottom a little for a car coat, makes getting in/out easier. Lightweight but warm. It's 11* here and was the perfect warmth running errands without getting too hot in the car. Prob need something warmer if you walk everywhere. Hood and collar are furry on the inside. 5'8 160lbs, Ordered Large This is the winter coat I've been searching for (it's taken years)! It has solved all the problems: Super lightweight, but warm. The ability to cinch the waistline to your liking adds a flattering & comfortable fit. The sleeves are roomy (I have large upper arms) & long enough to not ride up on my wrists (I constantly have this issue with other coats). I typically go for shorter winter coats, but I was so surprised at how much I enjoy the length (both the style & the warmth). I wanted a new jacket for this year's cold months and had specific wants and needs. I wanted something that could be layered without being too bulky or heavy, and be able to withstand the rain as well as the snow. I read all the reviews and decided to give it a try. I was not expecting to love this parka as much as I would but I really do!!! For being made with a synthetic fabric, it's surprisingly soft to the touch with a brushed microfiber feel to it. It's super lightweight and even though it may seem a bit thin, do not let that fool you! We haven't gotten any snow yet so I can't say how warm one would be in those temps, but so far I've worn it in the cold between 30-50°F, both by itself with only a shirt underneath and also layered over a wool shirt and long-sleeve base layer. Obviously my layered look was warmer, but even with the jacket alone over a shirt I stayed quite comfortable. It's a great length, not too short that it becomes ineffective and not too long that my petite frame drowns in it. I love the cinched waist! I'm normally a medium but ordered a large just to make sure I'd have plenty of room for layering and it worked out perfectly. $150 is overpriced af especially for what you actually get (a recycled product) but to be expected from TNF. I cringed when I hit the order button.😱 Thankfully I'm super happy with it and it didn't go back as a dud. It seems to be well made of high-quality materials so should last several seasons. Overall an amazing buy with a really high price tag... but at least it works like they said it would! ... show more

Great Jacket! Easy and lightweight but warm. Good for early spring and late fall or whenever you need another warm layer. Washes really well. Durable and strong zipper but showing signs of pilling already in the front. Length is great I'm 5'6 hits me above the knee. Comfortable sitting down or standing when zipped up and I sized down to a large. As I am in between sizes now it'll be looser when I change my weight. ... show more

At first I wasn’t sure about this coat, I will be honest. I found it on sale so the price was tempting but when it arrived it was super thin and I’m older and of the age where the puffier the jacket was, the warmer it would be. So I really didn’t hold out hope that it was going to be a very warm jacket. Well, I was wrong. I wore it to dinner one night when it was below freezing and it kept me warm the entire evening. After that test run I decided to wear this to Kentucky Kingdom for their Christmas festivities. It was 26° outside and we were there for 3 hours. This parka kept me surprisingly warm the entire time.
