I purchased this for our trip to Alaska. I loved that i could wear it three ways 1 with all the layers, 2 Just the outer layer and 3 just the inner layer as its own jacket. Super comfy, kept me very comfortable with out being bulky. Removing the inner layer was easy so was putting it back in. Zipper pockets were great and over high quality you expect from North Face

I bought this coat to replace a Northface 3-in-1 parka hydra-vent from 2016 that I wore through the late fall to early spring. I appreciate the versatility with the 3-n-1 so I jumped on this one when it went on sale. I like this coat, but there are a couple of things I wish were better. I noticed right away that it not very warm although it does block the wind and works well in light rain. I live in the Northeast so I will need to either layer in 20 degrees and below, or look for a warmer option. I also wish it had an additional front “hidden” pocket and was a little longer like my last Northface. Overall, it fits well and makes a good transitional jacket in the early spring and late fall. For reference, I am 5’3” and about 160 pounds and ordered the XL so I can layer.

I bought the teal color jacket in a size medium. It runs small as far as jackets go. For reference, I’m 5’6 and a size 8. It was tight around the hips when it was zipped and even tight around my back when I put my arms out in front of me. I was hoping it would work for a spring ski trip to New Mexico but the outer layer is way to thin- it even feels like it could rip if you skied through trees or something. I was really hoping it was going to be perfect because the color is gorgeous and hard to find in ski jackets! It would be great for a cooler weather hike- but not warm enough even for spring skiing in my opinion. Maybe if you were a sweater and a base layer under it. Just size up if you get it.

I could not love this jacket combo more! I have had my eye on this set for some time, watching North Face sales, only to realize I could order it on Amazon! It is so well made and such a cute fit. I own a similar set from the late 1990’s and this feels like an updated version. That set is still in great condition as well. I do think it runs slightly on the small side when looking at sizing. It is overall a sliming fit and so comfortable!
