Have the Stormbreak 2 and needed a bit more room. The Stormbreak 2 has proven to be a rugged tent that has seen a lot of desert trips with high winds and storms. The new tent is very similar to the 2 so anticipate good service.

Extremely well made tent for car camping. Dual doors and the large rain flies make it very easy for entry and storing equipment that you do not want inside the tent. Waterproofing and quality of the matterial is outstanding. The stakes are the low quality shephard crooks stakes that I will probably replace at some point. This North Face tent is designed for campers who want reliability without complication. It's not ultra-light but it is a solid tent that works the way it should. Setting it up takes a bit of effort but once up, it feels organized and intuitive. It has nice wide doors and great airflow! Between the mesh walls and vents arranged at different heights, it keeps the inside from feeling like a sauna once it's all zipped up. I like the mesh pockets to keep small items in place and the ceiling height is pretty decent for this size of tent. The tent is overall durable. TLDR: Fits two 6ft people and 60lbs dog snuggly! Got this for when car camping gets too stuffy and got the chance to use this in Florida a few weeks ago! It was super easy to put up, which I appreciated it as we were tired and def rushing to get some sleep. It was able to comfortably fit two 6ft adults and our 60lb pupper. It was a bit snuggly with all of us, but we made do! I think three people would have struggled, unless they were all skinny. Using a tent with a puppy, we’re always careful about the material and zipper quality as the little guy doesn’t know yet what to do and not do. Happy to report that the tent easily put up to our puppy using it and zippers were super sturdy. Overall, super happy with the tent and how well it held up against our puppy. ... show more

The Stormbreak 3 feels like a dependable, classic camping tent that’s built around comfort and straightforward setup rather than chasing the absolute lightest weight. It’s quick to pitch, and once it’s up, the layout makes a lot of sense for normal weekend camping. The larger doors are a real quality-of-life feature. Getting in and out is easy, and it doesn’t feel like you’re crawling through a small opening every time you need to grab something. Ventilation is another strong point. Between the breathable mesh and the high-low venting, it stays fairly comfortable inside, especially compared to tents that get stuffy the moment the doors zip closed. There’s also enough headroom that it doesn’t feel cramped, and it works well for hanging out during a rest break or getting organized at night. Storage and entry design are thoughtfully done. The mesh pockets help prevent the door areas from becoming a messy flap situation, and the vestibules are genuinely useful for keeping packs and shoes out of the sleeping area. The twin-zip vestibules also make it easier to access gear without having to fully open everything up. Construction feels sturdy for a tent in this category. The seam-taped canopy and floor inspire more confidence in wet conditions, and the fabric choices are clearly aimed at durability rather than ultralight minimalism.
