Just took it to see if it would pass the brisk-New England nightly walk at around 40 degrees before cutting the tags and writing the review. Nice and warm! It passed. I have this with only a t shirt under it and at a face paced walk in 40 deg. I’m completely comfortable. The large fits well for 5’9” 185-190 lbs. The zipper pockets are definitely a plus, besides the two for your hands you have the one that’s at the left part of the chest area for a cell phone and wallet or whatever you’d like.. The one (or 2)minor adding touches I would have liked added with it being North face and at $160 would be the zipper pulls: could’ve had a better quality thicker strand and YKK zippers would have been much better but I still give it 5 stars. ... show more

I have the original version that's from when I was a kid. Still in good condition but some stains so I thought I would get a new one. I was elated to see they still had thia jacket but now its version 3! This Jacket is not what it once was. The original was a thick winter jacket with fur inside. This is barley a thin fall rain jacket. I wouldn't wear it under 40 degrees. It weight maybe half as the original and no fur. Seems they cheaped out on materials. I'm very disappointed and do not reccomend. ... show more
