First, if it’s a North Face jacket, then you know it’s nice and this is very nice. It looks like it will be warm and toasty, but it doesn’t feel heavy, like it’s a weight on your child’s shoulders. The polyester exterior is soft to the touch, but will stand up to wind, rain, snow and the cold, and the elastic cuffs make for a nice seal at the wrists. The pockets are roomy, so there’s plenty of space for hands with gloves on or just storing gloves, plus there’s a zipper pocket on the chest for more secure storage. The full front zipper easily goes on, unfastens from and moves up and down the track, which is made from plastic to better withstand the elements. One very nice feature is that there is a cord inside the pocket that can be pulled to cinch the waist for a snugger fit. Because it’s reversible, it’s versatile so it can be worn with different outfits and for different occasions. The puffy lines that go across seem to be less pronounced on the white side than the green, but that may just be me. ... show more
