Features

  • Add 1/4 cup (Negg capful) of water to the Negg. Add your hard-boiled egg and snap on the top cap.
  • Now you're ready to slip the egg out of its shell. SHAKE the Negg up and down with enough force so that the egg strikes the caps. Remember to take it a little easy, or you will end up with a slushy mess complete with shells.
  • Shake until you feel the shell begin to "soften" - approximately 4 to 12 times. Timing will vary. The body is clear so you can watch the progress.
  • When you see the white of the egg appear, you're done. Mission Accomplished. The egg will then slip out of its shell.
  • If the egg is a reluctant sheller you may have to break the membrane after shaking to get the shell to release. This can happen with extremely fresh eggs, and is not the norm.

  • Cut your egg peeling time by 2/3rds.
Color: White
Absolutely works! I give my eggs an ice bath for 1 hour then fill the device with slightly more water. Shake it vigorously for 5 seconds. The shells fall off 95% of the time and are easily picked off the other 5 %.

  • It is not an egg peeler... it is an egg shell cracker!
Color: Yellow
works perfectly. It is not an egg peeler... it is an egg shell cracker! the goal is just to impact or fracture the egg enough to enable you to peel away the shell. I think the ones failing are trying to get the whole egg shell to peel away inside the cylinder and the time it might take for the egg shell to fall off or disintegrate you could have removed the egg from the cylinder and peeled off the shell in a fraction of the time of shaking it. With a small amount of water and 2/3 shakes you can hear and feel the egg crack with a thud. stop, dont try shaking more, just pull out the egg and start peeling it. Trust me, it will peel much faster than doing it the traditional way. Sometimes it takes 5 seconds and sometimes it takes 1 second to remove the shell. It usually took me 2 to 5 minutes to peel 1 egg. was frustrating to say the least. Factors to Consider; 1.) If your egg ends like soup, it is either your egg was not hard boiled enough. 2.) use less vigor than you would use a salt shaker. should just be enough force for egg to travel from one end to other. Start gently, you can hear the egg and feel the egg shell break/crack and then stop. 3.) too little water or too much water. I add enough water to be about level with the yellow cap and the clear cylinder meet. ... show more

  • Pretty good.

The first time I used this, it didn’t work. The second time, worked perfectly and then the third time, was just ok. It’s a great tool when it works!

  • Egg-cellent!
Color: Blue
I bought this on a whim and was skeptical it would work even "half way" decently. I was more than pleasantly surprised! It works as advertised - very easy to use and clean up is a breeze (just rinse it out)! Making deviled eggs is twice as fast because peeling them is so much easier and faster. I highly recommend this product if you love hard-boiled eggs but hate the hassle of peeling. ... show more

  • Works well!

Works like a charm. I made boiled eggs yesterday and it took no time to peel 12 eggs!

  • Great for making a lot of eggs, if you do it right!
Color: White
I have found this tool to be incredibly useful when it comes to peeling multiple hard-boiled eggs, especially for recipes like egg salad. As someone who frequently prepares egg salad, I often need to peel 5-10 eggs at a time. However, I would not recommend using this tool for peeling just one egg. If you follow the instructions, which involve adding a small amount of water to the Negg and shaking it, the tool works exceptionally well. While the shell doesn't always come off completely in one go, it significantly simplifies and speeds up the peeling process. I have encountered some difficulties with the Negg when the eggs are either undercooked or overcooked. However, when I manage to cook them to perfection, the Negg performs well. Here's the method that has consistently worked for me: 1. Begin by bringing a pot of water to a gentle boil, avoiding a vigorous rolling boil. 2. Carefully place the eggs into the pot. 3. Allow the eggs to cook for approximately 15 minutes. 4. Immediately remove the eggs from the hot water and transfer them to an ice bath in the refrigerator. 5. Let the eggs sit in the ice bath for an additional 15-30 minutes. 6. Once the eggs have cooled to the touch, proceed to peel them. Please note that this is the specific method I have personally employed and found success with. ... show more

  • its....ok!
Color: Yellow
so let me say i boiled 20 eggs. then after they were done boiling i put them in cold water with ice for 20 minutes and put each one of the eggs in this little thing. it works ok. about 7 of my eggs came out damaged , 3 were destroyed completely. 10 were good! so it has a 50 / 50 chance of working! i suggest being patient with this as going ham on it will def ruin eggs, and with the economy and egg prices you dont want that! i used this for my eggs, i need to make deviled eggs. so like its ok, half of them i cant use. im going to try it again later before deciding if keeping it is worth it. sometimes the egg shells peel right off, other times trying to peel it off will take some of the white with it. i would give this a 5 out of 10. its not bad but it could be better especially for the price! ... show more

  • Good enough
Color: Black
Easy to use and clean. Does exactly what its supposed to do. Bottom came off too easy. Probably for easy clean but slip off after shaking
