Why did you pick this product vs others?: It's compact. It's on a ring so I can hang it in my very small kitchen with only 2 drawers, both of which are just about 5 inches wide... seriously. So it fits in my world. Is it chef worthy? Uh, no. Like I said, it's compact, but if ya sent the hubs to the store for shredded cheese to put on a pizza and he comes back with a block, you can slice or shred it, scrape off some curls of veggies for it, grate some garlic, strip some fresh herbs to top it. While it's baking you can pop open a beer with it (although i don't drink) . Then once it's done, you can slice it... all with this one tool. The cheese shreding and garlic grating would take forever, but it would work. It would probably make a decent house warming gift for someone's first apartment as well. ... show more

The grater didn't work very well so I used the peeler. I haven't used the others yet. The carry pouch is good so I hang it on the side of the fridge with magnet
