I have just about every dish in this Spode Pattern. I do have to state that this casserole dish I received was not new- it was filthy in the box, and the box was taped shut , but it very distinctly used. Because there was no cracks nor chips in the dish I kept it as I’m using it for Christmas. It did wash up fine. But, had it not been so close to Christmas, this would have been returned.

Made of heavyweight earthenware, this is a large loaf pan. It is oven safe to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. The interior measures 9 1/2 x 5 x 3 1/2 inches, if the handles are included in the measurement, a couple more inches are added to the length. The piece is perfect for baking a large loaf of yeast bread or quick bread like pumpkin, banana or gingerbread. The piece I received was well finished with no rough spots or other flaws and included a sturdy box for storage.

As a collector of Spode Christmas Tree China for many years, I was happy to see this offered on Amazon. In recent years Spode has come out with new serving dishes and trays . The quality is just as good as the original China and dishwasher safe. I plan to purchase more for gifts next Christmas.

I ordered this too late for this past Christmas season, but I can't wait to put it to use this year! This addition to my Christmas Tree Spode collecion is large enough to accommodate any recipe I would want use it for. I loved the deep dish casserole by spode 's fine china. It was larger then I thought it would be ; for which I was very pleased . It was considerably cheaper then else where,I find myself always going to amazon.com for purchases because of the wonderful service they provided me.
