Love the series. Character development was wonderful. I don’t know if I would have started the trilogy now if I had known the last volume was not even published yet. This trilogy has a cliff hanger ending at the end of both books one and two. I like to be able to go from one to the next with the prior characters fresh in my memory. Love this continuation of the trilogy. Nora is one of my favorite authors. She always researches thoroughly history, and locations for her stories. One of the most creative minds today. The story is full of mystery & fun, and spine tingling chills. Can’t wait to get the sequel

I normally love Nora Roberts. Her characters are well-developed/her scenes are beautifully described/and her story lines are great. I read book 1 a while ago, so it was hard trying to remember who was who; and there was a lot of redundancy. The story line is interesting, but frustrating since the main characters are figuring things out -- which is why there is a book 3, which I hope will be entertaining and tie everything together. I certainly hope there is not a book 4, meaning book 3 will be another cliff hanger, forcing you to buy yet another book in this series. Nora is a great author, and her stories are great, but this series is dragging along which is why I gave it a 4 star instead of a 5 star rating. ... show more

The Mirror picks up right where The Inheritance left off with Sonya, Cleo, Trey, and Owen, along with their faithful four legged companions, working to solve the mysteries of Lost Bride Manor. Brittany Pressley is back as the narrator for the second book and continues to voice a thrilling story that keeps getting better. Her ability to voice each character and bring out their personalities is top tier and extremely enjoyable. The story is gripping, but Pressley’s narration has made it hard to pause this one. One of the best series! I can’t wait for book 3 this month!! The book grabs you right away. The story is romantic, funny, sad, scary. It’s told so well. She dumped her cheating soon-to-be-husband, and moved there to start over.... including startup of her new business, and learning to deal with the spirits that she shared the home with. 🔮Day by day, with the help of her best friend Cleo (who moves in with her), and Trey- her new love interest (and the Poole family lawyer), as well as her newfound cousin Owen and other townspeople, her fears in dealing with the resident witch that cursed the family more than two centuries ago begins to fade and are replaced by defiance. I enjoyed the second book as much as the first. I love the friendship between Sonya and Cleo, the sweet pets and the romance and mystery too. I cannot wait for the last book in the series to come out later this month. I feel it’s a must read series.
