I enjoy these books. The characters are well developed and the story lines all have twists and turns that keep you guessing. The author creates tensions between the main characters and also between them and the other characters that keeps me interested and reading.

Many of the books have interesting plots. A good editor is desperately needed. For New York detectives, the protagonists use a lot of British words/sayings. Characters are not well fleshed out and the same descriptions are used repeatedly and tediously.

Read 21 of them one after the other. Brilliant characters, intricate plots - most of which I didn't get. I wish I had another 21 to read. Really good writing, very few errors in each book mind there are still errors - authors and their editors just don't seem to be able to catch them all but doesn't take away from a brilliant set of books. These stories kept my interest, read one after another. Love both main characters. Very hard to stop reading each story. Stopped cleaning for days. To busy reading, good thing the weather was bad. Can't wait to read more but I need a break now.
