We Are All Guilty Here was one of those books that hooked me from the very first chapter. The story is full of twists, secrets, and suspense that kept me wanting to read “just one more chapter.” Every time I thought I had figured out what was going on, another surprise changed everything. The characters felt complex and believable, and I enjoyed how the author slowly revealed each person’s motives and connections. The pacing was excellent, with enough tension to keep me invested all the way to the ending. If you enjoy psychological thrillers or mystery novels with unexpected twists, I definitely recommend giving this one a try.     • Emotionally heavy but very good!

This is the first book in the North Falls series, and one I’d been wanting to read for a while, so I picked it up as soon as I could with the next book’s release just around the corner. I have to say, this was a pretty emotionally heavy read. Stories involving crimes against children are always difficult for me to get through, and while this book wasn’t overly graphic, the nature of the crimes was heartbreaking, cruel, and deeply unsettling. There was a lot of messy family drama woven throughout, with complicated relationships, difficult choices, and plenty of twists along the way. While it felt a little long at times, it was still an engaging and compelling story and had some interesting characters, which I look forward to learning more about in the next book in the series. Beyond the mystery, the story also explored deeper themes of parenthood, guilt, and the ways people carry the weight of their past decisions. Be warned. Once you start We Are Guilty Here, you will not be able to stop. Another novel with great characters, engaging dialogue, sarcasm, humor, drama, thrills, chills, and endless twists. I highly recommend the audiobook for the amazing narration.

I loved this book, lots of unexpected twists and turns. But there was a few parts that slowed down a lot, making it a long read for me as I forced myself to continue it. The ending was wild, glad I didn’t give up!

Another great book by. Karin. A lot to take in. Crimes that really surprised me with the descriptions told.You might need a strong stomach for this book and the details concerning children but I'm still glad I read it because Karin knows. how-to put out a he'll of a story.

In some ways, I’m sorry that I had to give this book only three stars because the plotting was definitely five. And some of the dialogue too. But the book gave me nightmares. The awfulness of the description of these serial (plot alert, but the book cover probably gave that away) killers just goes on and on. The description of what they do while they’re interacting with the law enforcement trying to catch them is so far over the top, I just couldn’t stand it. Yes, I could have thrown it away, but I became invested in the plot and read it to the finish. So if you’re ready for all the graphic serial killer horribleness, read on.
