My wife is getting back into squats after surgery and decided to go with this thing. Overall it did what is supposed to buy I had a few issues with it. First, the seat rests super high for a shorter person, my wife is 5'1" and can barely reach the seat. Second, the pedals where you plant your feet do not bolt in and move around and fall off of you're moving it around. Lastly, in order to find you have to do several steps! It's not as easy as they make it seem. However, despite all of this, it is a solid machine and heavy duty. Enough for me (200 lbs) to do some exercises and feel it (even though I primarily do weights). It'll get you sweating. ... show more

I got this due to a need to strengthen following an illness. I'm 5' and set at the lowest setting it is unstable to get on and off, to be safe I didn't get on and off while alone. The machine came in a small box. It was fairly easy to assemble. It took like 15 mins. Once assembled, it does not take up a lot of space, which is nice. However, once I began to use it, I realized that I had just thrown my money away. When you are using it, the machine feels flimsy and wobbly. As others have mentioned, it is hard to get seated on the machine- and I am 6 feet tall! And once you start doing the exercise, you realize that there is very little resistance coming from the spring. I almost feel back because the spring/shock provides very little tension. There is no way to adjust it either. I could have saved almost $300 by using a sissy squat board, or just holding on to a chair and doing squats that way. I was hoping my mom would be able to use it too. But I am afraid of her getting hurt. ... show more
