I bought about 6 various throw blankets all at the same, from different companies, at about the same price---all Amazon.com. They each arrived and I compared their weight, softness, quality. By far THIS specific blanket was Superior --- Description states, "faux fur", like all the rest do, but the difference is that you can IMMEDIATELY tell the others ARE " faux", whereas, the fabric this one consists of feels SO similar to petting a bunny or other clean, long-haired, soft mammals.đ (I am NOT encouraging, in any way, to go buy REAL ANIMAL FUR BLANKETS!!!đ ) All were "soft", as described, but this one has it's own kind of different softness. Incredibly WARM. Start off COLD & yearning for warmth, then wrap this baby around your whole body, feet too, and you will heat up in no time flat! I am ALWAYS cold; house is set to 75 ALWAYS, so warm couch blankets are imperative for me. I can't speak for any other size or color. THIS one I got is of Pottery Barn standards...

My husband does most of the laundry. When I got these I got multiple throws for my doggies plus a queen size for my bed. I told him that I would launder them because they needed tlc as far as laundering. He went ahead and washed them anyway, on bedding setting - hot water, long washing time and heavy duty agitation - or whatever itâs called :) Then into the dryer on bedding setting. High heat for a long time. Everything you are told not to do when laundering these. I have five altogether, and they are in great shape even after the laundry abuse. He has washed them all at least five times. I would not recommend doing what my husband does, but mine have held up through all that & held up to the scratching and reorganizing my doggies do to them. I am sensitive about what touches my skin, I have purchased different throws and blankets that I cannot use. This one is the softest one by far. It weighs nothing, so if you are looking for something with a little weight to it this is not for you. Here is what I find kind of bizarre. When itâs cold, this definitely will warm you right up. When itâs not cold, this is not too hot. I am not talking about summer heat, right now it is 70 degrees in my house and I will use this tonight. I always loved cold nights, put a blanket on me that feels good, then pile on at least one comforter if not more. With this, no need for a comforter. First time I tried it I had to get up and take the comforter off, I had started to perspire. I am supposed to come up with a title. âWhatâs most important to know?â Here is what is most important to know, GET THIS!

I love a good blanket. When I find one thatâs large, snuggly, warm, and easy to care for, Iâve feel like Iâve hit the jackpot. This blanket evokes that million dollar feeling! The color is a gorgeous slate blue that goes well with my decor. The textured fur lined side is sleek and luxurious, while the fleece lined side is soft and warm. I keep the blanket on my bed for decorative purposes, but I also use it at night to help assure my personal victory in the temperature war between between hubby and me. At night when I get cold, I toss the blanket on my side of the bed and drift off into a warm peaceful sleep. The blanket doesnât intrude on hubbyâs side of the bed. If youâre looking for an attractive, comfortable, and functional blanket, I HIGHLY recommend this one. It truly deserves the high reviews it has earned.

I like everything about this blanket. I have had it just a month now. I purchased a King size for my Queen bed with an approximately 18" mattress. The bed is raised a bit off the floor. The King fits just right. I use it without a bedspread and it hides junk under the bed, and I keep a quilt over it. I followed the instructions that came with it which stated you should wash it first to avoid much shedding. It washed up well. If it shrank, it was negligible. There wasn't a lot of fluff in the dryer filter, and it hasn't shed on me or the rest of the bedding. The deep blue is rich. The blanket is lightweight but comfortable and warm enough with the quilt. Probably will need more cover in deep winter. I would recommend it, gift it, buy it again with no reservation.

I ordered the slate blue, velvet version of this one for my king bed and am very happy with my purchase. Pros: The velvet side is soft with a gentle sheen to it, the color matches my decor, and it's really wonderful to snuggle under. It is machine washable as long as you're washing it in a front load machine, gentle cycle, and cold water. I was able to dry this in the dryer on a "low" setting. No shedding or pilling. King size fits perfectly on my king memory foam mattress, with plenty of fabric hanging over the side. No grumbling from my partner over blanket stealing. It's what I would categorize as a "medium" weight blanket. It's not as heavy weight as a comforter or quilt. The velvet fabric IS pretty thin, more of a garment weight fabric. It's the "sherpa" wooly side that gives the blanket it's weight and warmth. Both adult humans and their pets love this blanket. I'd imagine that kids would love this too as it's softness is comforting. Cons: Out of the package, there was some puckering of the fabric at various stitch lines. This is something I've seen on various garments when lightweight velvet fabric is machine sewn quickly without minding the stitch tension and/or controlling the feed of the fabric through the machine. This gives the blanket a more "casual" appearance. This is fine for a "boho" or casual style, but if you're fussy about everything looking neat and even, then you might be annoyed. Personally I don't care but I'm mentioning it just in case. The velvet fabric is not anything fancy or heavy. As stated above it's much more like a casual velvet skirt than heavy velvet curtains. However, this blanket is appropriately priced for what it is, so it's what I expected at the price point. Because it's a polyester velvet, it will be subject to static if you're in a house with low humidity and/or during the winter months. Overall: It's worth the money for something that is very comfy, and CAN be machine washed on a gentle or delicate cycle, and can be put in a dryer as long as you keep the heat very low. The "sherpa" side of the velvet blanket is extra cuddly and will probably be a huge hit for both humans and pets (our cats absolutely love the "sherpa" or wooly side of the blanket). I will probably order a "throw" size version of the blanket for my living room as it really is cozy and plush, perfect if you live in a region with cold winters.

I bought this as a decorative throw for the master bedroom. In the meantime, for the last couple of years I have been trying to find a pillow that I could put my head on and watch TV without getting terrible pains in my neck and head. I've paid as much as $150 for a down pillow! I don't know how many I've bought and returned. ANYWAY, about a month ago, I folded this throw to fit the top of my pillow and laid it on the pillow! It was like a miracle! And not to exaggerate, this thing is so soft to lay on and I am no longer getting up half a dozen times a night with neck and head pain. Never in my wildest dreams did I think this GORGEOUS THROW could serve another purpose. THE THROW IS GORGEOUS. CAN'T SAY ENOUGH. THE PINK IS SUCH A SOFT/SUBDUED SHADE! What a steal! What an unexpected bonus!!!
