Frequently asked questions

The trilogy is generally considered suitable for young adult readers, typically around the ages of 12 to 18. It deals with themes of growing up, first loves, and family dynamics.

It is highly recommended to read the trilogy in order, starting with 'The Summer I Turned Pretty', followed by 'It's Not Summer Without You', and concluding with 'We'll Always Have Summer', to fully understand the character development and story arc.

As of my knowledge cutoff date in 2023, 'The Summer I Turned Pretty' Trilogy is complete with the three books contained in this boxed set. There are no official additional books directly connected to the trilogy's storyline.

The trilogy is geared toward young adults and deals with themes and situations that are more suitable for teenage readers. Parental discretion is advised for readers younger than the targeted age group due to romantic and emotional content.

Should I Buy It?

If an absorbing and emotional read paired with an attractive physical presentation is what you're after, and you don't mind the possibility of delicate page quality, this book series appears to be a worthy purchase. However, if the durability of the pages is a primary concern, especially for gifting, you might want to consider individual copies of the books.

  • Get the Whole Story
Format: Paperback
Have been watching The Summer I Turned Pretty on Amazon, and always believe that you need to read the books to get the full story. These are a fun, very quick and quite frankly, YA series. Fun, but nothing too deep or serious But definitely fun.

  • Cute story about YA navigating love, grief and growing up
Format: Paperback
Cute little book set of the popular TV series. Read all three books in a couple of days, the story is captivating. It's a sweet little love triangle romance for young adults, and has definitely stirred up the masses as a love it or hate it kind of story. I enjoyed it immensely, and it's one of those I wish I could read again for the first time. Conrad and Belly's character arcs were pretty good, both showing a lot of growth to the end. If you can read this and bear in mind that these are young adults learning how to navigate grief, love and growing up, you will enjoy it. Some who have read this mention that some of the decisions made by all three main characters can be foolish, but it isn't out of the realm of a realistic scenario. Late teens and early 20s are a difficult time for most people, so keep that in mind when you read. ... show more

  • Nostalgic and a Reread
I’ve been reading the TSITP series since I was 14, and it’s become one of my go-to comfort reads. Rereading it now brings such a wave of nostalgia, and I still get so invested in the characters and story. It’s wild to think it’s a TV show now! The writing is simple, but there’s a lot happening beneath the surface- Jenny leaves so much unsaid, and figuring it out yourself makes it feel much deeper than it first appears. For anyone who hasn’t read it, The Summer I Turned Pretty follows Belly as she navigates summers at Cousins Beach, dealing with love, friendship, and the bittersweet changes that come with growing up. The story is heartfelt, funny, and full of emotional moments that stick with you. The physical books are just as charming as the story itself. The covers are bright, fun, and really pop on my bookshelf, adding a little joy every time I see them. This series is timeless for me, and even with the simplicity of the prose, I can’t help but give it a full five stars. Perfect for anyone who loves a mix of nostalgia, clever storytelling, and a colorful addition to their shelf. ... show more
