Description

The New York Times bestselling author of The Submissive returns with a scintillating new tale about power, danger, and jaw-dropping passion.... Nathaniel and Abby are struggling to navigate the challenging waters of their own relationship, when they get a surprising phone call from their partners in play, Dena and Jeff, who are in need of a helping hand… Seven years ago, blonde, beautiful lawyer Dena Jenkins was tired of her carefully controlled life. Desperate for something exhilarating to help her escape the pressures of her demanding job and her senator father, she joined a steamy, local BDSM club as a submissive. There she met brooding Dominant, Jeff. The attraction between them was undeniable, and, despite Dena’s doubts, they couldn’t stay away from each other. Except, as the years have passed, their blazing connection has proven difficult to maintain. Dena and Jeff have a history they’d rather forget, but Dena can’t let go of the past, and Jeff is ready to move across the country to give her space. Now, to save their passion, they’ll have to rediscover what it means to trust each other—and give themselves to each other completely… Read more

  • Loved this diversion about Jeff & Dena!!!
I started reading "The Submissive", then went to "The Dominant", on to "The Training." After those, I still wanted more! "The Chalet" was sort of a mini-novel about Abby & Nathaniel's honeymoon, & I then read "The Enticement." "Seduced By Fire" was another diversion, telling the story of Daniel & Julie, which appear again in "The Collar". However, it puts them in their own story, telling of their backgrounds, how they met, their trials & tribulations as people and as a Dom/sub couple, & how they fell in love. We get to meet Jeff & Dena, as well as Daniel & Julie, & Master Cole Johnson, as they meet Abby and know Nathaniel in "The Enhancement. "The Collar" begins with Abby & Nathaniel again, but goes to Jeff & Dena, telling more of their back stories, family lives, how they met, & incorporates their roles into the lives of Abby & Nathaniel, & Daniel & Julie. Sasha, who was briefly in "Seduced by Fire" as a new sub with a relatively new Dom, is also introduced again, coming back to the play group after her damaging incident as a sub when her Dom hurt her by being inexperienced. It is questionable whether he is going to be back or not, after he was harshly punished for not looking after Sasha properly and harming her. Master Cole Johnson is by himself in "The Collar", but still with the group. Makes me wonder if he will be hooking up with Sasha at some point, as he has needs, & she is looking to further her education & experiences with the group! There will be more to come with Dena & Jeff in the future(maybe-hopefully!-a lot more!), judging by what is said & not said. Cole is left alone at the end of "The Collar" & the beginning of "The Exhibitionist", except for playing with an "unknown redhead" at the beginning of "The Exhibitionist."(**spoiler alert!**) I'm hoping that might be Sasha, and hoping there will be a book about their back stories/love story! Obviously, Cole has left something that troubles him behind in India, & little is known about him. Since he is a writer & now Abby is, I can see their career paths coming in some way. Also, I can't wait to find out Dena's secret! Daniel & Julie are still not married, so I can't wait to see where their lives go, if they have kids or not. I love the series, & I love the way Tara Sue Me incorporates different people with different careers, etc., into the stories, each with different ways they take part in the Dom/sub lifestyle. In "The Collar", I wish there was more detail about the "Stalker." Without saying too much, not much was told about how/why he did what he did, or if it really was who they thought it was that did everything. That needed more, & I would have liked to have seen more about Dena's relationship with her father after Jeff's threats. As Abby & Nathaniel get involved with the Delaware group, along with Dena & Jeff, Daniel & Julie, & Cole Johnson, more is implied to come as the group is planning on "changing protocol" & "correcting problems." Most of the sex scenes are quite hot, very interesting, a fun read, & I can't wait for more! A great series to read in addition to the "Fifty Shades" Trilogy and the "Crossfire" Series! ... show more

  • This series keeps getting better!
I LOVED reading Dena and Jeff’s story. I did skip book 4 ( reading that now). Read these in order . New important characters are introduced. I can’t wait to read book 6.

  • Smoking Hot
So, looking for something that is even hotter than 50 Shades Of Grey? Yep, I have it right here. The Collar by Tara Sue Me. It is part of the Submissive Series, and it is SMOKING. We meet up with one of our favorite Doms and his beautiful submissive, who just happens to be his wife. Nathaniel and Abby are joining some friends Dena and Jeff. Dena who is also a submissive and previously with Jeff has had some one start stalking her. When things seem to escalate she contacts Jeff. Given their past history and the fact that Jeff is a top notch security specialist, Dena knows that he will look out for her. Jeff still has deep rooted feelings for Dena, even after several years. When she tells him of the stalker he immediately starts trying to find who it is. When he is called away he has Dena stay with Nathaniel and Abby while he tends to other obligations. As the two spend more time together, they find that things in the past have not resolved between them. The emotions are just as strong as they were before, but can they over come all the things that have taken place. I enjoyed reading this book. Tara Sue Me continues to keep us all hot and bothered with her Dominating Alphas. But, this story allows us to see what and why Dena and Jeff have the issues that they do. I could not help but feel the emotions that was moving through out this book. The way that we are given friendship, loyalty, trust, bonding, and even love is what makes this so in depth. Tara Sue Me is a great writer, who can keep your libido moving towards scorching hot. Do not hesitate in picking this book up to read, but make sure you allow yourself plenty of time to finish it and then to cool back down, because you are gonna need it. ... show more

  • Love the Submissive Series
I love this Submissive Series by Tara Sue Me. I love to see other characters coming in and out of the books. It’s always fun to keep up with the other characters while meeting new ones or continuing the story for some favorites. This story is about Jeff and Dena. A second book for them, but you certainly don’t feel like you missed anything in the first book. Tara does a great job of summarizing things so you can keep going. Jeff and Dena are as good for each other as they are bad for each other. Like oil and water. But they aren’t giving up yet. A huge hurdle to jump over yet before they can try to have a happily ever after. It’s called the past, and it’s a HUGE hurdle. One they might not get over. But it takes two people to work through a past and decide if they are worth going forward. I love the support around the characters. Nathaniel and Abby, Daniel and Julie. Cole comes around too. Other familiar names too. You can never go wrong with a Tara Sue Me book. Honestly. Love her series and her characters. ... show more

  • Strong sexy dominant...
Captivating story with plenty of suspense. I love this genre and I love think Jeff is strong sexy dominant with a genuine heart and tremendous love for Dena. They break a lot of rules when it comes to communication and that shouldn’t have been allowed. I don’t know how to do 4.5 stars on my phone so I will gave this a five but because of the amount of miscommunication, I would take away .5. He should have known all about her fears of wax play, her past experience, and put those to ease instead of I’m better. It’s not I’m the best, the focus is trusting one one another. With that aside, the drama is enticing, the sex is smoking hot, passionate, and they have such a strong connection it jumps off the pages. I think this series and all of its couples are proving to be very exciting. Wish it wasn’t so expensive per book 😞. ... show more
