I'm a beginner and I'm intendedly not becoming a professional but these shoes are great for what I paid for. I only use it lightly to watch as my son iceskates weekly together and i don't have to rent anymore. I love the red color. It's very stylist and the color fits my personality. Great ankle supports. Outer material is soft and not so much padding in the inside but it's comfortablely snug when i wear it. So incredibly uncomfortable. They hurt my feet (not an issue I usually have with any other type of athletic shoe/boot). Also (and maybe this should have occurred to me prior to purchasing these) they are very difficult to tie tightly because of the design (the super stiff ankle combined with only shoe laces). ... show more

I had high hopes for these skates. My daughter has a very slender foot and these are so stiff that she cannot get her foot in the skate. They are attractive and seem sturdy but she cannot use them

I wear a size 7, so as recommended, bought a size down, The length was fine, but a little too narrow. The padding in the ankle also made them an awkward fit. Because the boot is not as high as the traditional fit, not sure it was something I could get used to wearing. I ordered white—the fabric feels and looks like suede, which would be harder to clean.
