This is the worst eye makeup remover I've ever purchased. Like others said, it did a little more than water, even after I left the cotton pad on my eye for more than 20 seconds. My mascara was still on (I was using Maybelline) and my eye shadow not removed completely. The worst part was that it gave me a burning sensation! I'm not sensitive skin nor have I ever felt burning from lotion/moisturizer/foundation/makeup remover, but this one totally set the new record. This "gentle" eye makeup remover is totally not for me. I have been using the body shop’s chamomile eye make up remover for years. Like DECADES! Admittedly I don’t wear make up every day, but this container lasts me forever, a year or more. I wear contacts & it doesn’t bother my eyes. I’m in my 50s & it’s gentle on my aging skin. I can’t say enough good things about it! I purchased this time on Amazon because my closest body shop closed. Now the nearest one is at our airport & I’m not going shopping there just for eye makeup remover. I was delighted to find it here! I am so happy with this!! I love mascara, have substantial eyelashes, and wear waterproof only due to living in the humid humid deep south. As we all know, the wrong makeup remover will: A) leave mascara stains that might as well be permanent dark circles B) irritate the skin so that we need to spend MORE on eye cream and concealers. C) be greasy and harsh, therefore irritating the actual eye and damaging actual eyelash quality No thank you to all of this! This wonderful product is the answer! I squeeze a small amount onto a small cotton round, place on my closed eye, hold for a moment, and gently wipe outward. Done! All I am left with is a clean, non-greasy, soft, and non-irritated eye. I was surprised at the large size - the bottle I had before from Ulta was half the size for the same price! I like that this eye-make-up remover is good for sensitive eyes. I tried Sephora's similar item and was very disappointed - my eyes were red and swollen after using it.

    • Doesn’t work on eye makeup

I used to use this years ago and wanted something that wouldn’t sting my eyes, but don’t know if they changed the formula, but it doesn’t really remove my mascara, it just smears it. I have used up to 4 cotton pads to try and get it off and it still doesn’t come off cleanly

This is my favorite way to gently remove waterproof mascara. It does have a slightly oily feel, but I always wash with a face cleanser after using. I have not liked the strong odor of other make-up removers, and this one has very mild to non-existent scent. I have been using this product for years now. The first time I bought it was in store, but have found the stores cannot keep it in stock so I don't bother going to the physical stores for this product; always order it online and order about a week before I anticipate emptying my current bottle. ... show more
