I have tried a lot of cleansing balms, and this one takes the cake by far! I love that there are only ten ingredients in this balm, and not a long list of chemicals I can’t pronounce or know what they do. Some of the other balms I have tried do remove makeup well, but don’t really have any skin benefits. This formula has Vitamin E and Japanese Pearl Barley that is good for your skin. I love that this cleans and leaves no residual,- just soft ,clean, beautiful skin. Perfect slate for whatever you want to do that day. It has a nice slight citrus smell that is divine too. Many people are double cleansing, but I have stayed with just this cleanser, since I am 59 and don’t need to cleanse twice. I think this reminds me of the cold-cream days. Our ancestors knew you don’t need to disturb the skin barrier to remove all that makeup, and after years of fancy cleansers, we’re finally realizing our Grandma was onto something not stripping her barrier by susdsing up! I had my makeup done by a makeup artist recently and I used this to remove my makeup and I loved it. I loved the smell, it smells refreshing and citrusy, it removed my makeup perfectly, is very soft and it didn’t hurt on my eyes. Also appreciated that it comes with a little spoon.

Love how well this works! It has an orange citrus smell to it that I love! I've only used it a few times, but so far no issues with my skin. I'm terrible about washing my face at night, but this makes me look forward to doing it. The texture is great, like I said I love the smell, and it washes off well. I've tried different cleansing balms including Heimish, Beauty of Joseon, Clinique, & now this. Scent: light lemon scent which I like it's not too strong. I prefer this scent over the Heimish one (stronger citrus scent). Texture: Melts rather too easily & it's softer than the other brands. I kept it in a cool, dry area within my makeup bag. It somehow migrated, melted, and reformed in the container. This hasn't happened with the other cleansing balms I tried. Effectiveness: This is great at removing everything except for eyelash glue. I still double cleanse in case by using another face wash after. I have sensitive dry skin. My skin felt soft after & it didn't feel stripping or irritating. Price: I got it when it was $17 which would make it comparable to Heimish & Beauty of Joseon, but it depends on where you buy it because Amazon is always changing prices. If this was the cheapest option I'd get it again. Otherwise, I prefer Beauty of Joseon for the consistency, and I personally prefer unscented products. ... show more
