The advertised dimensions are before the grommets and seams are added, so my “8 foot x10 foot” tarp was 4 inches shorter in one dimension and 6 inches shorter in the other. While you can see this by looking at the picture of the product package, I found the use of incorrect dimensions in the product description quite disingenuous. For some uses it won’t matter, but for others (a tent footprint for example) it will mean a product return. It was inexpensive, at least. ... show more

These are about as thick as a contractor black trash bag. These would not hold up outside very long at all. These do work well as a drop cloth or to help protect floors against geriatric dogs.
