Vulcanized fiber is a spacing material used for knife making. You can apply it between the tang of your knife and your handle material to provide a better surface for your epoxy to bond to. It will also add a nice contrast of color to your handle. Our vulcanized fiber spacing material will come in 5" x 10" x .030 (~1/32")

I have not used this product before. I do know it’s used as insulation in electric motors, capacitors, etc. I wanted it to add a little color in knife handles. The stuff is a very tough, strong material, but seems to work well. It was shipped right away and came early.
