    • Careful with "Used" Purchases
As for someone that had just lost there old TI-84, I wasn't too excited about dropping another $100 on another calculator. I was looking for a cheep solution and came across a used one for $70. Still wasn't the best but was better then $100. This calculator was "Used, and in Good" condition, but when I received the calculator, the bottom row of keys were sticky due to some juice or liquid that had been spilled. This caused issues with turning the calculator ON and sometimes prevented the keys from coming back up. I had dissembled the calculator and cleaned the keys and it was like brand new. Even though I had fixed this calculator, I personally think that the seller should have taken more time to either clean this product, or just not sell it at all. As of 5 months later it is still working fine and in good condition. The only problem is that it takes a few seconds to show stuff on the screen after you press the ON button. ... show more

    • Calculator Excellent....BUT not what I ordered
As you can see from my order description above and from the packing slip I received with my calculator, I ordered the "Dark Grey" calculator. What I received was a "Hot Pink" calculator. I contacted the sender inquiring about the problem and asked for a response ASAP because my 17 year old son wanted the grey one and if he couldn't send it out right away, I would return the calculator since it's not what I ordered and have to purchse elsewhere. The sender NEVER responded to me. My son determined that the calculator would be fine (he's never concerned what others think) and we didn't send it back, but it's frustrating the sender never even contacted me to apologize for the incorrect shipment. Will still buy from Amazon, but not the vendor that sold me the calculator. ... show more

I am a college math instructor and the TI-84 is the model preferred by both professors and students. It is easy to use (unlike model 86 or higher) and it has all the features you need as a student, without any of the "cheating" features an instructor wouldn't want a student to be able to use on an exam. I hate that it is still so expensive, but if you need a graphing or statistics calculator, this is the one to get. (I bought my first one 10+ years ago now, and it is the same price now as it was then!) ... show more

Great calculator came in black just like it said. I have already used these types of calculator for my highschool as well as my college math classes so I already knew how it works. I was looking around everywhere for a cheap calculator ti-84 plus SE and I didnt want it gray like everyone elses. So I ordered this black one. It was great shipped very quickly got it with in 3 days from across the country. Looks like new everything is exactly how it said..love it!! ... show more

The TI-84 Plus SE has everything I need for college. I purchased it from a seller, not Amazon, to save on the cost. It is a reliable and well built calculator. I also purchased a fun little cover for it so it wouldn't be the same as everyone else's calculator at college. 5/5 star product. If you need a calculator for Statistics and other basic college math courses I would recommend this one. Plus, the darker coloring is a lot nicer than the typical grey. ... show more

    • Use it for school it works
I got this for school and every teacher recommends this brand its not cheap but if you plan on taking algebra 2 or greater you are definitely going to need this. In fact i would have loved to have it previously during earlier math classes so as soon as you take algebra 1 I would pick this up because your probably going to end up in another class a year later probably. I was overwhelmed by the TI-84 at first, but once I got the tutorial disc (sold separately)I was able to make headway. I strongly recommend the tutorial for those who have limited knowledge of graphing calculators. I am amazed at how much this calculator does, and I have barely scratched the surface! ... show more
