Great calculator. Nice style and good features. The weight and size are comfortable, and the color screen is clear and bright. The buttons are big enough and well-spaced out with clear markings. This handy little guy has gotten me through my first year of pre-calculus and calculus so far and still going strong. The battery lasts forever. It's weird when I have to charge it. My only minor pet peeve is that the charger is a mini-USB and not the C type, but that is just a nitpick really. It doesn't actually bother me that much. The calculator is absolutely worth getting.

I got this for my college math class and it’s amazing! I love all its features and easy it is to maneuver. It wasn’t too big and was simple to read. I recommend this color version to anyone who is reading this.

The calculator originally arrived defective. After calling TI directly (the contact info on Amazon was not accurate), they determined the battery it was shipped with was defective, causing it to just continuously reboot while I had it plugged in, and not hold a charge. They sent me a brand-new replacement battery for free and also gave me a year of free access to the digital/online version of the calculator. I received the batter in less than a week and since the calculator has worked without issue. It took me a few hours of watching you tube videos to learn how to utilize the calculator to its fullest, and I am very satisfied with the amount of things the calculator can do. Definitely more recommended for advanced math, otherwise your not going to get the value for your money if you are only using basic functions or limited to algebra, geometry or general science. This one packs a more powerful punch for Calculus, Statistics, color visualization of functions, and even basic programming.

We bought this TI-84 Plus CE for our son for his pre-calculus class, and it’s been working out really well. The color display is nice and bright, which makes it easier to read graphs and charts compared to older calculators. He says it’s fast and smooth when switching between functions, and the rechargeable battery is a big plus because we don’t have to keep buying AA batteries. It came with a protective cover, which is handy for tossing it in his backpack without worrying about scratches or damage. The calculator is lightweight and slim, so it’s easy for him to carry around between classes. It’s definitely geared toward students who need it for advanced math, so if you’re just doing basic arithmetic it might feel like overkill. Also, it took him a little while to get used to all the functions since it has so many, but that’s just a learning curve with any graphing calculator. Overall, it’s been a great tool for his math work and should last him through high school and even college if he needs it. And yes the first thing he did was to install games on it.
