  • Great Calculator
I bought this calculator for class. It works as described. I love the LCD lighted screen compared to the screen on the previous version without a backlight. The only thing I would change on a future version would be to backlight the buttons as well. I must say that we were required to download some programs onto the calculator for my class, but when I went to load them to this calculator they were already on it. I did have to load them onto a previous version of this calculator though. I feel like these calculators are worth the money if you need it for class and are required to have a TI 83 or 84. If you are just looking for a simple scientific calculator then you can easily find a cheaper one. This calculator is very durable and I believe it will last a long time as long as it is taken care of. I totally recommend this to anyone. The only thing I can think of that could be a con is the fact that the battery is rechargeable vs batteries you stick in the back. I believe this the case due to the slimmer build than the previous version that you pop batteries in. In any case, the battery does not run down quickly at all, just remember to charge up before class and you will be good. ... show more

  • Painful Experience!
I’ve ordered the Pink Graphing Calculator twice now. Instead of receiving the pink calculator I received the coral color. Not to mention it took a week to arrive. Unfortunately, I had to order it again and to my surprise I received the coral color once again. The packaging of my second purchase was terrible. It was ripped up and my heavy shampoo I purchased was right on top of it. It had no type of protection what so ever. At this point, I’m starting to think they don’t have the pink at all. Extremely disappointed. ... show more

  • Standard college equipment and a must have for science majors
I got this for my grand daughter. I bought the Pink calculator so it would be less likely to be stolen, not because she is a girl. I work for a high school as science lab tech. A few of our science teacher want me to order the pink so they are not stolen. That is why I got her the Pink one. A good idea until pink calculators become a fad. ... show more

  • Bought this for my Son
I bought this calculator for my son. It was a requirement that he had a calculator that had higher functions than a standard calculator. I can only assume it is easy to use, he gets his homework done and doesn't complain that is too hard to use. In my opinion, they are a bit pricey but it was required for school. What are you gonna do... ... show more

  • Wasn’t the happiest, but it works. Was very happy with the black one tho.
I only gave 3 stars for the pink Calculator because the buttons were sticky .. like someone spilt something on it and 2 buttons were faded. When I paid over $125 something dollars. It said like new. No, it was not like new. Sticky buttons ... 2 worn buttons .. no, not like new. The black calculator on the other hand was perfect and like new. ... show more

  • Should have done this sooner
I had a TI 83 when I entered school and the monochrome screen has been harder to see as I have gotten older. The Ti 84CE has been great as no more batteries to change and die. I plug it in to a computer or wall wort and keep working if the charge is low. the color screen has been much easier on the eyes when distinguishing between several graphs. Each gets a its own color. Input is a little different when using powers and such but nothing that was a deal breaker. the little apps that are installed are neat but haven't had a use for them yet. With going to school, I got the companion (free) software from Texas Instruments so I can screen capture and back up the calculator. Make sure you get the version 5 as older versions do not work with new CE. ... show more

  • I love my Texas Instruments TI-84 Plus hot pink edition calculator ...
I love my Texas Instruments TI-84 Plus hot pink edition calculator very much! The Calculator came in the mail very quickly, and it was very great for it to come so quickly! I needed the calculator for my Math 112(Introduction to Precalculus with Algebra) class, and luckily it did come in time before my first test. Do you know what I love most about it? If you learn how to do all the special little tricks, you do not even need to know the formulas for your math test! You can just plug that equation right into this fancy-schmancy little calculator and it will give you the very correct answer! Yay for keeping a 4.0 GPA! Well, unless your teacher is like mine was and you have to actually show all your work. But that is still a-okay, because you can make sure you have the correct answer before turning in that test of yours! yay! I love this calculator so much. it comes with a charger, which is great, because you will be using battery. I lost the charger in my mess of a bedroom, but ordering a new one was actually very easy and fairly cheap. you can also personalize some the colors and I just love it y'all! ... show more

  • I love the color (yes trivial)
I love the color (yes trivial), but I haven't replaced my graphing calculator in a long time, so I decided to go with the current TI-84. So far I have been extremely happy with the new functions. The color screen is great. When graphing students can identify graphs by color. There is a plate over the screen to protect it from cracking, and best of all it does not require batteries. It comes with a charger. Hooray. If you can operate older TI-84's this is no problem to use. ... show more
