It arrived fast. It works. But I'm confused at why the design is so bubbly. It makes it difficult to type in numbers when flat on a desk. This is the best calculator I’ve ever used. Very easy to do complex things. Battery life is exceptional. Visibility is great. Buttons are easy to press and don’t stick. This is the second one I’ve bought, only needed a second one because my first is in storage.

    • TI is always high quality...now it's cute, too!
Calculators are highly efficient, and TI makes great quality instruments...so that factor was never a doubt. But now it's cute, too...for my 10 year old who is far more concerned about that than whether this is the right calc for school or not. ;) She's a green fanatic, so the color itself works for her...and the fact that it continues with the green theme by having the lettering on the buttons in green, big bonus for her. The only thing I don't like is that the calculator in the image is all green...with the area around the screen & the solar grid a green w/swirls of somesort on it. The one I received is definitely in different packaging (red card with yellow stripe...image show yellow card w/blue stripes & black band across top), so clearly it's a different release of the same unit...some remodelling has been done. It's not enough for me to have issues about it (and I'd seen another reviewer mention the same thing so wasn't surprised when I saw the same thing), but I don't like buying X in description & Y in image.....and GETTING X in description but Z in image similarities. When online purchasing, the buyer evaluates the written data & reviews, but they also just as much evaluate the imagery as part of their purchasing choices. I'm not sure if this is a seller or manufacturer issue on this one. I will say that aesthetically speaking, I DO prefer the look of the all green w/swirls around the screen to the green with white around the screen...but is it something I can't live with? I'm 45 years old and have never owned or used a scientific calculator. I have recently decided to go back to school and I was required to get one for a class I am taking. At first I was intimidated by the sheer amount of functions this calculator can do. Good thing there is YouTube because this did not really come with detailed instructions on how to use it. I found several video tutorials and after each video I watch I love this calculator more and more. I'm amazed by all that it does and this is not the super fancy graphing trigonometry calculator that is also available from amazon. This one is perfect for college level algebra and even statistics and for all it does it was very inexpensive ... show more

    • Excellent companion to hold your hand when numbers intimidate you.
My sister gave me an older blue version of this when I started going to school. I loved that thing, but like all great things, it eventually kicked the bucket. However, I loved it so much and it left such a lasting impression that I simply had to hunt down a replacement. I ordered this one in my favorite color and it succeeded in meeting all my expectations. Mainly, it does math better than I can, and is also cuter than I am. Highly recommend it whether you're in high school, college, or just didn't retain any math from either of those and need something else to do it for you. ... show more

This is our second purchase. First one worked so well, when my son came to stay with us for a year or two of college, I purchased the same one for him. Means we do NOT have to have house heat on at night - just enough to keep pipes from freezing - but in our 2 bedrooms we are toasty - REALLY saves on electric bill. Does have drying effect on air, and does not have thermostat you can set to go on and off at certain temperature. Does have setting for how long you want it to run. Safe - no hot parts on outside of heater. Of heaters available would highly recommend, UNLESS dry air is a major issue for you. ... show more
