  • Sturdy, Well Made. Works Like a Charm.
Size: A4-12'' PAPER CUTTER
I've had this maybe 1 or 1.5 years. It works very well. Sturdy, well made. I cut stacks of 100 papers, maybe more, easily. I also cut smaller stacks. It's a little hard to see the exact cut line so I purchased a cheap reading light from Amazon. I also marked with a magic marker the exact line of cut. ... show more

  • Solid! Solid!
Size: A4-12'' PAPER CUTTER
I’m extremely happy with this guillotine. I’m hand making books. It easily cuts through the pages accurately, giving me a nice clean edge. Papers don’t shift if you have it clamped properly. Those that say it shifts, I attribute that to user error. I also used it to cut the book boards for the covers, which worked but quickly dulled my blade. Lesson learned. 😊. Thankfully, I had bought an extra blade. I appreciate how easy it was to replace the blade. I’ll take my dull blade to a professional to have it sharpened. This is so well built that I’m sure even my grandkids could still use it in their senior years. It’s made of solid metal, I’m guessing steel so it’s heavy, but I can still move it around my studio if needed. It’s a solid purchase and worth every penny. While I do recommend purchasing an extra blade, you can easily remove the blade, have it sharpened, and replace it. ... show more

  • Heavy Duty
Size: A4-12'' PAPER CUTTER
UPDATE: used very little over 4 months it cuts through all the way until the last few pieces on the bottom and has bumpy edges that is not cut through cleanly. Still for the price and heavy duty construction, I think this is still good quality. It does shift a little and it doesn't cut very precisely but it's still decent especially if you need to cut stacks of papers in general. *** Use this to cut 1/4" - 1/2" thick stack of index paper and it cuts so smoothly. If you tighten the clamp, it will not move and cuts accurately. I cut it using crop marks so I'm not sure if it cuts accurately according to the measurements on their ruler. Also aligning it is a bit off but you get used to how much extra space you need to place it so the knife cuts at the correct spot. It's also better for thicker stack of papers and it really cuts like butter like another person said. It feels a bit awkward cutting a couple sheets at a time, leaving you wondering if you made the cut fully, but it still works. Bought this because it has a blade replacement option. Sadly they got a poor review because someone didn't read instructions to push the safety lever down before cutting. It does work nicely. It is very heavy and quality made. The blade is not under the lever as other cutters have. The lever is only for the handle and the blade is parallel to the surface. It seems more safer that way as well. Worth the price. ... show more

  • purchase after a lot of research
Size: A3-17'' PAPER CUTTER
not sure if i would actually like this, as there are so many rip offs. the clamp works well, the knife uses a slide motion which cuts clean, real clean in fact. i'm using this for a 3 knife cut on a text booklet i wrote on mapping domestic property which i plan to upload on here as soon as the copy right office finishes their magic. but to the cutter. it is a heavy sucker. make sure you have a place to put it so you don't have to move it often.. it is designed to last for years with replaceable blade, cutting surface that can be turned 4 times (which is industry standard) and does use a true bypass cut so it leave crisp machine quality edges. for small cottage printing, this is a must have, cost, quality and results are amazing. ... show more

  • Not Suitable for Precise Cuts Not Suitable for Precise Cuts
Size: A3-17'' PAPER CUTTER
I wanted to like this cutter because the blade itself is sharp and handles material well, but the build quality of the guide fence is a dealbreaker. The main issue is that the fence bulges out in the middle whenever it is tightened down. This creates a noticeable gap (see attached photo) between the fence and the grid, making it impossible to get a flush, square, or accurately measured cut. I reached out to the seller to see if this was a known defect, and they claimed that this bulging is "normal." For a tool where the primary purpose is precision cutting, a warped guide is definitely not normal. If you are doing work that requires any level of accuracy, I would suggest looking for a different option with a more rigid fence. ... show more

  • Crooked cut
Size: A4-12'' PAPER CUTTER
I adjusted the sliding stabilizing bar over and over.... and over again, confused as to why my cut was uneven every single time, and in the same area. Then it dawned on me that the blade is actually crooked. I worked with it for days. I have used these types of trimmers, and haven't had this problem before. The blade was sharp and had no issue cutting, but without it being even, it's worthless. I was only trying about 20-50 pages at a time to keep testing it. It's too bad that Amazon can't give an immediate refund (while waiting for trimmer to be picked up), so I can quickly order another to get to work ... show more

Size: A4-12'' PAPER CUTTER
I have been using a Martin-Yale for years, but after it broke down once again in the middle of a time sensitive project, I decided it was time to buy a spare. Not terribly confident in off brands, but the difference in price for a new Martin-Yale made me decide to try it. I liked the look of this one, and when it arrived I was very pleasantly surprised. It is a heavy built cutter. Everything worked flawlessly out of the box. It is easy to operate, and I've been cutting about 150 sheets per blade swing. I don't know how well it will last, but it has already made itself worth the investment. ... show more
