    • Really cool keyboard, but it will take some getting used to
This is a great-feeling keyboard. The build quality is solid and all of the lighting is a very nice touch. The keys are decently tactical and, overall, it feels nice. The problem is that my 'keyboard muscle memory' is primed for square caps. So in order to use this efficiently, I think you have to be committed to getting past this little hump. honestly it feels a bit cheapened out, the clicking of the keyboard is ok, as its suppose to feel like an old typewriter, the color scheme is easy to change and has quite a few variations.. overall not a bad keyboard for the price, but definitely not my first pick!!!

    • Pretty decent keyboard.
This is a pretty good looking (led lights!!) keyboard that is pretty easy to type on. The keys shape does sometimes make typing inaccurate and i tend to hit the wrong keys sometimes.

    • The key lights do not work
The media could not be loaded. Edit: my son got all the lights to work after holding the knob in for 45 seconds non stop. Also it only fully works when plugged into a computer, it will not light up completely if plugged into a tablet which i originally tested it with. I love the clickety clack sound and feel of the keys but the light didn't work which is the other main reason I picked this keyboard. I wanted the retro typewriter feel, which it sort of emulates, but I wanted each individual key to light and I wanted to customize the lighting on my keyboard and I can't do any of that. Only the ends of my keyboard light up. Its kind of disappointing for a keyboard at this price point. I do like the wire to plug it in is nice and thick, it has fabric on it to protect it from fraying and shorting. The lights are a deal breaker for me tho. ... show more

I got this keyboard to see how the old typewriter-like keycaps feel. I guess this is an ok keyboard if you want a novelty keyboard. It looks retro and vibrant. It's different and something other than the norm. It has round keycaps which gives it the look of an old typewriter. The LEDs are bright and they all work, but I wish they were more customizable. The keyboard has a decent feel to it. The aluminum case has a nice weight. The rotary knob/button on the top right of the keyboard is kind of neat. This keyboard has 2 modes - typing and gaming. I game, but I mostly use keyboards for typing - so I would keep the keyboard on the typing setting. I do a lot of typing for work. Personally I don't like the feel of the round keycaps. I could never use this keyboard as my daily use keyboard. The round keycaps would be too distracting. I wish the backlighting was more user customizable. I would like to be able to set the LEDs to colors of my choosing - or at least let me choose between presets of solid colors for the whole keyboard. However it seems like you can only cycle through the factory preset settings for the backlights. I have several mechanical keyboards. I'll probably keep this one just as a backup. ... show more

    • Great looking keyboard but TOO expensive!
Overall the keyboard looks gorgeous and the RGB lighting patterns are great! However, one thing that I had noticed early on is that its a bit easy to mistype occasionally. The keys also feel like they are positioned a bit higher up than most keyboards even without using the stands but overall the quality is good. However, the price for this nice looking keyboard is a bit over the top in my opinion. The keys are not even metal as they look so $70 is a bit steep in pricing. ... show more

I love my Retro Typewriter Mechanical Gaming Keyboard! The keys are responsive. The RGB lighting is extremely bright and attention-getting. Overall, it is exactly what I expected it to be, and expectations are where I will differ from some of the previous reviews. This is a gaming keyboard and is marketed and sold as such. If you are looking for a "professional" keyboard, then you probably should look elsewhere. But if you want something bright and fun to liven up your deskspace, then it is a great choice. The next expectation that should be addressed is your typing ability on this keyboard. The product features old-school typewriter-style round keys. If you are used to speed-typing on your current keyboard, you have to understand that it is going to take you a little while to get used to the shape of these new keys. The same holds true almost anytime you get a new keyboard. This is an excellent keyboard that brings some fun and novelty to your desktop, as long as you begin with proper expectations. ... show more

This keyboard is so much fun! Lots of clicks and the keys aren't too tight. The colors are nice and bright, everyone comments on it. If you want a plain, quiet, boring keyboard, keep looking. It's great for gaming or even for work if you need a little brightness throughout your day.
