One issue: the on/off switch is on the side and I kept hitting it during the curling process. So several times I had to stop and turn it back on. I have thin short hair, this worked well but the pencil gave a tight perm like curl. I need to get a wider or regular size one to compare. But all in all it worked as it should. A tad big for travel but no different than any regular size. Liked the selection of heat temperatures too.

I have a titanium flat iron however I was looking for a flat iron for daily use and knew tourmaline ceramic was the way to go. This flat iron goes up to 450 however I stay around 410! It provides straight results like my titanium I can’t tell the difference! And it leaves a great shine without snagging or ripping my hair out. Such a smooth press experience that I found myself enjoying it a lot. I got close to my roots even touching my scalp sometimes touching it and I wasn’t burning myself my scalp was ok! The comments convinced me and as someone with Afro textured hair, kinky curly or 4a I’m here to tell you they were right! I got the wide because I find the wider the quicker for me. AND ITS SO AFFORDABLE. Feels like a professional flat iron for half the price!

I have thick course relaxed hair and needed the heat level of up to 450°. It heat in 30 seconds and straightens my hair. My only issues are it's easy to press the heat setting button changing the temperature and there isn't a tight grip on the hair. The plates glide over one another, not tight close or clamp down on the hair.
