The chair I bought in IKEA before is very uncomfortable and causes waist pain for a long time. So I have been searching the Internet for a chair to replace it recently. I bought this chair with the intention of trying, but it is absolutely beyond my expectation in terms of quality, workmanship, and comfort. It's not that hard to assemble, but it might be a little hard for the girls because the weight of the real stuff is there. The T-wrench and Spare bolts were thoughtful. The chassis support and wheels are thicker than my previous IKEA chair, making it very stable and flexible, especially when I fell back in the chair, I was afraid that I would fall back. But after several attempts, I found that I had overthought it. The adjustable Tilt tension and Tilt lockout are my favorite features, but I don't feel much change with the Adjustable Lumbar Support feature. Before placing this order, I also had a concern that this kind of chair would be very hot and stuffy during the summer season. After one week’s experience, this worry already blew in the air. All in all, this is a nice comfortable chair and relieves my back pain from working from home. I would definitely recommend it to my friends and colleagues if they are deciding to change to a new chair. ... show more

Had many different chairs over the years and this is one of the most comfortable ones we've gotten. The leather is thick, so the sitting pad and back pad are very sturdy and comfy. It doesn't have any ordor when we opened the package(some bad leather tends to have). Suprisely it allows to adjust the lumbar support tightmess. When leaning backward, this chair is almost creating a zero gravity feeling so it's really nice to lay on it(my husband fell asleep in chair time to time...part of gamer life lol). Bought this desk chair for my sweet hubby Jim ... He loves it as can relax better than ever while working on his computer, watching TV and so enjoys how comfy it is.     • Cool but not worth the price
This is a cool looking chair. Nice and shiny black cushions. Thicc. I'm not big and tall but was looking for something big and tall because I feel comfortable in nice big chairs with high backs. The chair is too small. Or the rest of Humanity shrunk without me. Here are the issues: 1. Chair back is not the 31.99in as claimed but measures barely at 29in. 2. The instructions have poor illustrations. for examplw, the pages are very light grey, then instructions are on a darker background, and important notes are in even darker grey boxes? And then, some descriptions are rough with bad karma sutra like drawings. Overall, not as bad as others Ive seen but definitely hitting walls. 3. The cushions are too stiff. I can't sit down and relax. I don't see how anyone could relax and not feel pain or discomfort. 4. A bit too high off the ground on lowest setting. 5. Feels tight. The width of the chair would support anyone wider than average in my opinion. 6. Given the supposed dimensions and intent, the arm rests are too low. 7. The adjustment bar vibrates if you sit back while looked into place and can feel it reverberate throughout the chair. 8. A couple or so holes for the screws were done poorly, as if already chaffed. 9. The armrest bars feel like cheap plastic. I'm nitpicking but for context I have another chair by a different brand, and everytime I sit in it, it's super comfortable, immediately, everything better, and that was 2/3rd the price of this one. So this chair isn't worth the price to me. On the plus side (no pun intended): 1. In fairness, most chairs out there I've tried are pretty poor in comparison. Once put together this chair is very sturdy. 2. The base is metal and strong. If a big person can squeeze into it, the specs are probably correct about the weight support. 3. It was was an easy to put together despite the instructions issues. 4. The rest of the material is great, sturdy, very well put together in my opinion. 5. You van adjust the back and lean/tilt back nicely enough. 6. Delivery was faster than expected 7. The overall quality feels great. 8. The chair looks awesome. I dont think the pictures do it justice. 9. Although I don't find it comfortable as I expected, it's waaay better than the particular chair it was replacing so it's not a "loss". All in all, if you're just looking for a "big" chair, that looks really cool, are all no frills and Spartan about it, then you might want this chair. Or, if your body shape is: very long legs, short upper body, and skinny, you might need this chair. If you have back problems, keep looking because examining the material closely, this isn't a chair to "break in" the cushions, nope, it's pretty stubborn. If you have back issues but need something firm but with some cushion, then maybe it will be ok for you. But consult an expert and do research as this is just my opinion. ... show more

The chair has a very good quality about it and was easy to assemble. With that being said, upon opening the chair shipping box I found that the height and locking mechanism was damaged. After contacting the Seller Customer Service, I asked for a replacement part and also ask that the new part be sent asap. This should have been done and shipped the next business day, it wasn't. It took the Seller 5 days to decide to send a replacement Mechanism Part but only with the assistance of Amazon Customer Support on my behave. The part was received 2 days later. I gave the chair a 5-star rating. As for the Seller, I will only give a 4-star rating because of the delay in their response. ... show more

my husband used to have a back pain so we used to purchase large chair for him to sit at. after we received the terao chair, the installation is really easy and smooth. We have already used the chair for two days so its actually a good time to leave a review. My husband used to sit for a long time like few hours to do business work. the chair actually did hold still and you can adjust the height easily base on your need.
